A male was shot with a paint ball gun in the lower right leg in the plaza of the MacArthur BART Station. The shots came from a vehicle driving by on 40th Avenue. The male received non-life threatening injuries.
Edward Daniels (60 years old, Oakland) threw a bottle at Lawrence Harvey (47 years old, Richmond) at the El Cerrito del Norte Station. Harvey then battered Daniels. Daniels was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. Harvey was arrested for a probation violation, battery and for being in possession of an illegal knife and drugs. Both were issued Prohibition Orders and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A female victim reported that she was robbed at gunpoint by two black male suspects in the west parking lot. One suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with his face covered by a bandana. Both suspects fled on foot toward Hesperian Boulevard, and were not located during an area search. The victim was not injured.
9/28/17 at 0656 An officer responded to the Coliseum BART Station for a male (Eric Mason, 47 years) on the train with an open bladed knife. The officer retrieved the knife and discovered that Mason had an outstanding warrant and he was in possession of a billy club. Mason was booked into Glenn Dyer Jail on the warrant and possession of manufactured weapon.
A victim reported that a male suspect struck him in the leg with a metal pipe, in an unprovoked attack. The man was detained and positively identified. The suspect was ultimately arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The victim's injuries did not require medical attention. The suspect was issued a prohibition order and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
The station agent reported that a male suspect was outside the booth, making verbal threats to harm the agent. Officers responded and detained the man. A search incident to arrest revealed a concealed handgun in the man's backpack. The agent was not injured. The suspect was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail for public intoxication, criminal threats, false imprisonment and carrying a loaded, concealed firearm. TSOC was notified.
Multiple people called into BART PD dispatch to report a make subject who had threatened another male with a knife while aboard Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train. Officers working a special detail were on scene when the train arrived at the West Oakland Station. As officers went to contact the suspect, later identified as Jayeddy DAVIS (23 years old, Burlingame, CA), he took off running away and ran into the city streets nearby. Officers were eventually able to detain DAVIS and recover a knife he attempted to discard. It was later determined DAVIS has pushed the knife into the stomach of a victim who did not sustain any injury while aboard the train. Davis was found to be on active probation. DAVIS was booked into Glenn Dyer jail in Oakland and was issued a prohibition order.
A victim reported he was struggling with a male over his laptop when a second male (Austin Lashagway, 20 years, Lafayette) grabbed the laptop and fled. Lashaquway was located and detained, pending identification by the witnesses/victim. Officers discovered Lashagway's backpack contained a loaded revolver with the serial numbers filed off. Lashagway was positively identified and was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail. He was issued a prohibition order. Case is under investigation.
Two suspects attempted to rob a female victim of her cell phone in the east parking lot. The suspects brandished a BB gun and attempted to take the phone. The victim was knocked down, but retained possession of her phone. The suspects fled into the surrounding area and were not located.
A BART passenger reported a man on a train who was vandalizing seat cushions by cutting them with a knife and who was also brandishing the knife in a threatening manner. The suspect fled from the train at 19th Street station and was not located by officers who searched the area. There were no injuries and minor damage to a seat on a single train car.
A male patron reported that a male suspect slashed his neck with a knife while on the platform. The assault appeared to be unprovoked. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 40's, wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect in the station or surrounding area. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not life threatening.
Two officers were conducting a patrol check of the 8th Street/Market Street stairwell due to high drug activity when they observed a Hispanic male subject holding a plastic sandwich bag. When the male subject saw the officers, he took off running topside. The officers chased after him and eventually located him nearby trying to change his clothing. The officers contacted him and found he was attempting to swallow individually packaged cocaine and heroin. After taking the male into custody, the officers located a fix blade knife concealed in his waistband. The male was transported and booked into San Francisco County jail. L15
Officers made a traffic enforcement stop and determined that the driver was under the influence of narcotics. The driver refused to follow lawful orders, and withdrew a knife from his pocket before being taken into custody. The driver was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for DUI and resisting arrest.
Patrons on board the Pittsburg train reported that a black male was cutting his legs with a box cutter. Officers responded and located the man, who was in possession of two knives. The man was detained for psychiatric evaluation after a brief struggle. The man was transported by ambulance to John George Pavilion for evaluation and treatment.
A female victim reported that she was battered by a female suspect on the station access road. The victim stopped her car to avoid hitting the suspect, who was standing in the road. The suspect asked for a ride, and then battered the victim with a rock when the victim refused. The suspect was described as a white female, about 25 years old, carrying a 2 year old child. The suspect left the area and the victim sought treatment for minor injuries at a hospital before reporting the incident.
A male was reported to be carrying a firearm at the Concord Station. The man was detained and the gun was reported stolen. In addition, the male was in possession of high capacity magazines and was booked into jail. TSOC Case #
A witness reported that an adult male was fighting with three juveniles in the bus zone. One of the juveniles stabbed the adult with a pocket knife. The suspects were described as a black male and two black females, all about 17 years old. The suspects fled toward Millbrae Avenue and were not located. BART and San Mateo County Sheriff's units responded. The victim was uncooperative and refused to provide a statement. The victim suffered a minor, non-life threatening cut to his back. The victim was transported to SF General Hospital. TSOC notified.
An officer contacted a male subject who was smoking in a prohibited area in front of the fare gates at the Concord BART station. The subject became uncooperative and started to walk away from the officer as he was trying to detain him. The subject slapped the officer's hand when he tried to grab him in order to prevent him from walking away and then began to run away from the officer. The officer eventually caught up to the subject and held him at gunpoint in an alleyway between residences in the City of Concord. It was later determined the subject had discarded a firearm prior to surrendering to the officer. The subject was taken into custody with the assistance of officers from the Concord Police Department and was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. The subject was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for all of his violations.
A female victim reported a male attempted to take her cellphone from her on a Fremont bound train at the San Leandro Station, at 1126 hours. The suspect was described as a Black male, tall, thin, wearing a gray hoodie with black hood and sleeves. The victim held onto her cell phone and the suspect fled. At 1329 hours, an officer spotted a male who matched the given description of the earlier theft and detained. The suspect was identified as a juvenile and a records check showed he was a runaway. The male was taken into custody and officers located a firearm in his possession. The male was placed under arrest for the firearm violation.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. One male was detained and was found to be intoxicated. The man was arrested, and a search incident to arrest revealed a pair of brass knuckles in his possession. The man was booked at SF County Jail for public intoxication and possession of illegal weapons.
A victim reported that he was robbed of his cell phone by two male suspects. During the robbery, the victim was pushed down the stairs into the station. The victim suffered shoulder injuries and was transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment. Responding officers did not locate the suspects in the area.
A male suspect detained by police for fare evasion, and who was on searchable probation, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, (2) tasers and brass knuckles. The suspect was booked into the county jail.
Officers responded to West Oakland station to investigate a report of a female on a Daly City train who was brandishing a box cutter in a threatening manner. Officers detained the suspect and determined that the suspect had been involved in a dispute over a seat and had brandished a box cutter in a threatening manner towards the victim. The victim placed the suspect under citizen's arrest and the suspect was cited and issued a prohibition order.
The on-duty station agent contacted a male suspect who appeared to be attempting to tamper with a ticket vendor, using a pair of scissors. The male attempted to slash at the agent with the scissors, before fleeing the station toward Hallidie Plaza. The agent was not injured. Officers responded, but could not locate the suspect in the area.
A victim flagged down an officer in the parking lot and reported that their green 2001 Ford Escort had been taken at gunpoint by two suspects. The suspects were armed with handguns and were described as black male juveniles. One suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, and the other a gray sweatshirt. The suspects fled eastbound on Leland in the victim's vehicle. Surrounding agencies were given the vehicle and suspect information. Responding officers were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects in the area. The victim was not injured.
