A male victim was dropping off his children to his ex-wife at the South Hayward station, when the ex-wife's boyfriend brandished a handgun at the victim. The suspect left the scene. As officers were taking the report, the suspect returned and was arrested and booked at the Hayward City Jail. 0606-2374 L21.
A BART employee was approached by a male at the Fruitvale station. The male pointed a gun at the employee, and demanded money. The male took a wallet, cash, and a cell phone. There were no injuries, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
A suspect was threatening patrons with a large meat cleaver and yelling in a foreign language. Officers confronted the suspect at 8th and Oak Streets. The suspect dropped the meat cleaver but was combative, and had to be wrestled to the ground and taken into custody. He was committed for psychiatric evaluation.
A patron was robbed at gunpoint and the suspect fled from the station. Later, while still in contact with an officer, the victim observed the suspect enter the station. The officer engaged the suspect in a foot pursuit and the suspect was captured. A replica firearm and some of the victim's property were recovered. The suspect was arrested and booked.
An enraged Ashby Flea Market vendor brandished a large knife at a juvenile who may have tried stealing an item from the vendor. An adult female associate of the juvenile pulled the suspect away from the juvenile. The suspect slashed the woman's hand causing a laceration which necessitated suturing. The incident was not initially reported, and the suspect was GOA/UTL. An investigation is on-going.
A subject discharged a round from a shotgun in the parking lot as a large group of unruly Coliseum event-goers traversed the area. The suspect was chased down and apprehended three blocks away and the weapon was recovered.
The station was searched for two suspects who robbed an AC Transit bus passenger at gunpoint at International and Fruitvale Ave. At least one of the two suspects was seen at Fruitvale station by the bus driver. An area searched proved negative.
A BART patron leaving the El Cerrito Del Norte Station was confronted two blocks from the station by three male suspects, each armed with a pistol. The suspects searched the victim but took no property. The victim pursued the suspects for several blocks (and through the BART station) until one of the suspects fired a shot into the air prompting the victim to return to the station and contact police. The suspects were GOA/UTL.
A 19 yr. old male was beaten and stabbed in what appears to be a gang-related incident. The victim was followed from the parking lot to the bus stop by three males aging from 16 to 18 yrs. old. The three suspects shouted out their gang affiliation and assaulted the victim at the bus stop. The victim was beaten and stabbed in the back. The victim, who acknowledged that he too is a gang member, sustained multiple stab wounds, a punctured lung and head wounds, none of which were life-threatening. The suspects remain outstanding.
Officers intercepted a Pittsburg bound train at Rockridge Station regarding a suspect who was reportedly carrying a firearm. The suspect was located and found to have a firearm concealed in his waistband. The suspect was combative and had to be wrestled into custody. He also had an outstanding burglary warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked.
A male patron was walking through the parking lot, to the station, when two suspects robbed him. One suspect pointed a gun at him while the second suspect grabbed the victim by his hair and pulled him to the ground. The suspects took the victim's cash and other property, then fled, possibly toward West MacArthur Blvd. GOA/UTL.
A 20-year-old male attempted to rob another man at gunpoint in the bus zone. The victim escaped on a bus. The suspect fled the station, but was later located in the neighborhood by a sergeant and an officer. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for attempted robbery.
An adult male suspect simulated a weapon and tried to force an adult female victim to give him, her purse. The two struggled and the victim fell to the ground. The suspect ran away without getting the purse. Officers responded but the suspect was UTL/GOA. 0604-1105 S-26
Frightened patrons aboard a Pittsburg bound train reported a suspect on-board brandishing a large knife. Officers arrived, recovered a large butcher knife, and placed the combative suspect in custody. The suspect was committed for evaluation.
A patron walking through the south parking lot was accosted by two men in a vehicle. One of the men threatened him with a handgun and demanded his money and bag. He surrendered both and they fled the area in the vehicle. Victim was not injured, and the suspects were not located.
Victim pulling out of Rockridge parking lot, suspect steps in front of vehicle and brandishes a gun. Victim accelerates past suspect and exits parking lot. Victim calls police after leaving scene, Rockridge area checked for suspect with negative results.
Juvenile male waiting for ride in bus zone passenger pick up zone. Mother arrives to pick up juvenile, juvenile suspect approaches victim and attacks victim. Victim suffers "slash" to right arm. Victim gets into mothers car and leaves station. BART police contacted at 1512hr from Kaiser hospital in Richmond. Station checked for suspect with negative results.
Male subject called 9-1-1 in the free area of the station stating he had a knife, and was going to kill himself. Officers immediately responded, and transported the subject to San Francisco General Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Officers responded to the station on a report by the station agent of a shooting victim seeking help. The victim claimed he had been shot in the leg, topside at 16th Street and Mission. The victim left prior to the arrival of medical and SFPD. SFPD confirmed the shooting in their jurisdiction.
