Two plainclothes officers contacted a male adult suspect for narcotics sales. The suspect fled on foot and was captured by Oakland police officers nearby. The suspect resisted violently, injuring two officers before being taken into custody. The suspect was in possession of narcotics and had a felony warrant. Members of the Special Problems Unit targeted ticket scalpers at the Coliseum station this evening during an A's game. Their effort resulted in the arrest of six scalpers, one of whom had a no-bail felony drug violation warrant. Numerous A's tickets were confiscated with A's officials assisting in attempting to trace their origin. L18
Plain clothed Special Problems Unit officers observed a suspect smoking and aggressively harassing patrons. When contacted by the team sergeant, the suspect fled the station to Market Street, where he violently resisted arrest. It took three officers to gain control of the suspect, who was also found to have a $10K resisting arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked.
An adult male detained for fare evasion was found to be a parolee with two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest that included a charge of check fraud. The subject was taken into custody and booked without incident.
Officers detained an adult male suspect for selling BART tickets. The suspect was arrested and booked for warrants totaling $160K ,charging DUI, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. The suspect was in possession of numerous credit/debit cards, not in his name, which is under investigation.
An officer contacted an adult male suspect for fare evasion at Fruitvale Station. The officer took the suspect into custody after determining he had a no bail warrant for auto theft. The suspect was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail in Oakland. 0808-2570. L21.
An adult male detained for fare evasion was subsequently arrested and booked on several warrants including a felony drug violation want. Additional outstanding warrants were for burglary, narcotics violations and theft.
A patron reported that an adult male was at the station, severely beating a dog. The suspect had been punching, kicking and dragging the small dog. Officers arrived, arrested the suspect and booked him for animal cruelty and a $10K warrant. The dog was taken to the Oakland Animal Shelter, then transported to a veterinarian for treatment.
A male subject contacted for fare evasion was found to have four outstanding warrants, two of which were no-bail felony warrants. He was also in possession of methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested and booked without incident.
An adult male was contacted by the station agent because he was short fare on his ticket to exit. The subject then tried to panhandle for money both in paid and eventually free areas when he fare evaded to exit. The subject became angry with the station agent and caused a disturbance by banging on the agent's booth window and then threatening to shoot/kill the station agent. The suspect was apprehended just outside of the station on the street and taken into custody without incident. No weapons were recovered. He was booked for making criminal threats and for several minor outstanding warrants.
An adult female detained for fare evasion was arrested and booked for $27K in outstanding warrants charging felony possession of narcotics and other drug-related charges. The subject also resisted arrest and was charged accordingly.
Information was received that a contractor hired by the District had an outstanding no-bail burglary warrant out of Los Angeles. The subject was located working at the Concord Yard and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked on the warrant.
A station agent watched on camera as a male subject off-boarded a Pittsburg-bound train with a duffle bag. He opened the bag and looked through the contents, then threw the bag onto the trackway, under the lip of the platform. Trains were held outside the station for 15 minutes until responding officers contacted the subject and recovered the bag. It was found to belong to another patron who was unaware of the loss. Suspect was arrested and booked for Interfering with Transit Operations, Misappropriating Found Property, and a $10,000 warrant.
Special Problem Unit officers observed a subject in possession of marijuana at the bus stop. It was later determined that the subject had outstanding warrants out of San Mateo and Alameda counties charging grand theft and burglary respectively with a total bail of $150,000. The subject was booked accordingly.
A male patron got into a taxi and was accosted by a female acquaintance of the driver. She got into the back seat with the passenger and made a lewd advance on him, grabbing his thigh and reaching for his crotch. The passenger jumped out of the cab and called police. The suspect was arrested and booked for the battery and an outstanding warrant.
A male and female couple having an argument began punching each other as they continued to argue. The female had an outstanding no-bail felony warrant, and both parties were arrested on domestic violence battery charges.
