An officer contacted a subject who he knew to have a stay away order prohibiting him from all stations. Dispatch confirmed this. The suspect was also found to have an outstanding $2,500 481.1PC (Altering Media Fare) warrant for his arrest that was issued from the BART Police Department. The suspect also had BART tickets, glue, and scissors in his possession. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the suspect. The sergeant and several officers conducted probation searches on two of the suspects last known addresses but discovered that he no longer lived there. The suspect was booked into the North County Jail for the court order violation, his warrant, probation violation, and possession of altered media fare.

In this case, the suspect was in the paid area of the station without a valid BART ticket and admitted entering the system by fare evading. Based upon his expressed desire to harm himself, paramedics transported the suspect to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, along with a criminal hold. Once the suspect is psychologically cleared, he will be booked for violating the terms of his probation. The suspect was issued a citation for fare evasion.

The female was clear of warrants and Dispatch confirmed the prohibition order was valid. The female was issued a citation for fare evasion and for violation of the prohibition order. She signed both citations and was released.
