A patron reported that a male was playing loud music on a Millbrae bound train and when someone asked him to turn it down, he verbally threatened to shoot the person with a handgun (not seen or displayed). The suspect then off-boarded the train at the 19th Street Station. Officers contacted the male, who did not have any weapons. A records check revealed that the suspect is on probation with a condition to stay away from the 19th Street and Union City Stations. No one wished to pursue a complaint for the threats, so the male was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the violation of his probation conditions.

Record checks also showed that the man had a $20,000 arrest warrant for violation of a court order, held by San Francisco PD. The man was arrested for his warrant and for violation of a court order and was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.

The officer also located several altered BART tickets in the subject’s possession. The subject was arrested for violation of a stay away order and for altering media fare. While in custody, the suspect stated he had a medical issue and is to be cleared at the hospital before he is booked into the SF County Jail. The sergeant attempted to debrief the suspect but the suspect refused to talk to him.

The station agent called to report a female possibly selling tickets in the station. The female left the area before officers arrived, but returned a short time later and was contacted by an officer. The station agent identified the female as the same person she had seen in the station earlier and a records check revealed that the female had a probation order to stay away from all BART stations. The female was taken into custody and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for violation of the probation/court order.

After she was taken into custody, she was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The female was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for violation of the court order, the four warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia.

South San Francisco - 1405-0609

While at the station an off-duty SFPD officer saw a male subject harass and spit on another patron. The SFPD officer identified himself to the suspect both verbally and with his badge in an attempt to intervene. The SFPD officer then went to advise the train operator of the incident. When the SFPD officer returned, the suspect was gone. The SFPD officer later saw the same suspect on board a train that just came into the station. The suspect saw the off-duty officer, used profane language against him, and at one point tried to hit him with a cane. The off-duty SFPD officer drew his duty firearm told the suspect to stop and it was at this point a BART officer (who was in the station) heard the commotion and went to the platform to investigate. The BART officer and the SFPD officer detained the subject and off-boarded him from the train. A wants check revealed that the suspect had a stay away order from all BART stations. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Redwood City Jail for assault on a peace officer and for violating a court order. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest.

While on patrol, an officer conducted a consensual contact on a male (whom he knew from previous contacts as being on probation) and female subject. A wants check revealed that both the male and female parties had active stay away orders from each other. The male party was also on searchable probation. The officer searched the male party and found two daggers on his person. The female party was searched and found to have a suspected “meth” pipe on her person with a useable amount of methamphetamines in it, as well as a dagger. Both parties were arrested and booked into the Hayward Police Facility for violating their active court orders, for possession of a concealed weapon (dagger), and for probation violation. The female suspect had the added charges of possession of narcotics paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamines. TSOC was notified.

Officers detained a subject for selling BART tickets without a permit. During the detention, the subject ran from officers but was arrested a short time later without further incident and/or use of force. A search of the subject incident to the arrest revealed he was in possession of altered BART tickets, in addition to having an active BART stay away order. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the subject. Subsequently, the subject was booked into the county jail for possessing the altered BART tickets, delaying the officers and for violating the stay away order.

While on patrol, officers contacted a subject at the station for panhandling. Upon detention, the subject began to run and was taken into custody for resisting arrest and battery on an officer after a brief physical struggle. The suspect was also placed under arrest for having a valid court order prohibiting him from BART property. The suspect was determined to be mentally ill, complained of chest pains, and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital prior to being booked. All three officer suffered minor injuries due to struggling with the suspect on the escalator, and one officer went to the hospital for an injured hand. A lieutenant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and conduct the use of force investigation. The suspect was also issued a 30 day BART prohibition order.

Officers and a sergeant responded and detained the subject in question. The ISRC was also able to view the incident as it was happening via the cameras. Further investigation revealed that the subject had a stay away order from all BART stations and that he was in the possession of narcotics paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for lewd and lascivious acts, violation of a court order, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
