A station agent called to report a male sleeping and possibly exposing himself at the station. An officer contacted the male and conducted a welfare check on him. A records check revealed that he is a sex offender who has not registered as required. Officers were not able to substantiate an exposure, but arrested him for being out of compliance. He was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the sex offender registration violation.

An off-duty female BART train operator/victim reported being spat upon by a male subject whom she also saw urinating between train cars. Officers responded to the station and detained the male subject without incident. A warrants’ check of the subject revealed an outstanding BART Police infraction warrant, with a bail amount of $708.00, for his arrest; he was also found to be on active court probation. Subsequently, the victim placed the subject under citizen’s arrest for battering her and urinating on the train. The officers took custody of the subject, and a sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief of the subject. The subject was issued a prohibition order before being booked into the county jail for battery, urinating in public, and violation of probation.

The victim of a robbery contacted an officer at Fruitvale Station and reported that three male suspects had simulated a weapon and stolen $1 from him. The suspects were described as black males, 18-20 years old. The suspect who stole the money was wearing a plaid shirt. One of the suspects wore a white tee shirt. There was no description of the third man. The suspects reportedly boarded a Fremont train. That train was intercepted at San Leandro Station and a male matching the suspect description was detained in the bus zone. The victim was taken to the station, but could not identify the man as one of the robbery suspects. The suspects were not located. However, the man detained in the bus zone was found to be on probation for drug violations out of BART PD and had a stay-away order from all BART stations. The man was arrested for violation of a court order and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
