An officer at the Bay Fair Station heard a commotion coming from the platform. The officer learned that several juveniles were involved in a robbery of a patron's Apple MacBook laptop. Officers responded and assisted in detaining the juveniles. The victim positively identified 3 of the juveniles as being involved in the robbery. The 3 juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall for robbery, providing false information to police, resisting arrest, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. The laptop was retrieved and returned to the owner. There was also a second laptop retrieved, owner unknown.
Lemelle Armstrong (30, transient) was arrested for unsuccessfully attempting to grab a cell phone from a person while on a train. A prohibition order was issued.
Two male juvenile suspects snatched a laptop computer from a patron, dropped the property, and then forcibly wrestled it away from the victim a second time, before dropping the property a second time and fleeing. Officers detained both suspects. One was cited to his parent for theft from a person, while the second was booked at juvenile hall for robbery.
A patron reported a male in the company of other males snatched his laptop. Anthony Marshall was identified (21 years old, Richmond) as the person who took the laptop and was arrested for the crime. Breeland Scott (23 years old, Vallejo) was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The laptop was not recovered.
Deshawn Evans (22 years old, San Francisco) was arrested after he punched another patron and tried to take his laptop. Evans was issued a prohibition order and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A patron reported a male punched him, took his cell phone and fled the station. Officers responded, searched the area and located a subject matching the description given by the victim. Sean Shelton (46 years old, Fairfield) was positively identified by the victim as the person who robbed him. Shelton was arrested for robbery and issued a prohibition order. The phone was not recovered.
James Isham (39 years old) was detained for taking a patron's bag. A records check revealed Isham had a $25,000 outstanding warrant. He was transported and booked into Glenn Dyer Jail.
A patron reported that a black male juvenile, about 13 years old, snatched her iPhone from her hand and fled into the surrounding neighborhood. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect, and the phone could not be tracked.
A victim reported that a male suspect grabbed his phone out of his hand and fled the train with another male. After tracking the phone, officers were able to locate two males (adult and juvenile) near the West Oakland Station. One of the males tried to discard a phone, which was determined to be the victim's. The victim identified the juvenile as the person who took his phone. Both males were taken into custody and interviewed. The juvenile stated that the adult (Cal Hobdy, 20 years, Hayward) put him up to taking the phone. The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for theft from a person. The adult was booked into the Glen Dyer Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy and grand theft from a person. The victim was not injured.
A victim reported that two suspects stole his phone while on the stairs leading to the station. The suspects, described as black males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, fled on foot and were not located by responding officers.

Responding officers detained a group in the parking lot and located one of the stolen phones. One victim identified one of the detainees as having stolen their phone. The suspect was a male, aged 14. That suspect was arrested for theft from a person and was cited to his parent. The other detainees were released after being identified.

A suspect snatched a cell phone from a sleeping patron on the train. An off-duty East Bay Regional Parks PD officer witnessed the theft and detained the suspect (Jimmy CLARK, 65, Transient) until BART officers arrived. Record checks showed that Clark had two outstanding arrest warrants: $5,000 for fraud, held by ACSO, and $1,000 for larceny, held by the Marin County SO. Clark was arrested for theft from a person and his warrants, and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
