An adult female victim reported that while aboard a Dublin bound train near the San Leandro station, she saw an adult Middle-Eastern male masturbating while aboard the same train. The victim reported the crime to police upon her arrival at the East Dublin station. The suspect was not located at the time of the report, but he was further described as follows: 40 years of age; 5’5’ tall; thin build; wearing a white button down shirt and black pants. The investigating officer requested train video.
Witnesses reported that a female suspect was groping men's genitals on the train and on the platform. Responding officers detained the female and she was arrested for sexual battery and public intoxication. She was transported to Santa Rita Jail, but was refused due to a mental problem. The suspect was cited for her violations and was transported by ambulance to John George Psychiatric Pavilion for an emergency psychiatric detention.
Officers performed a welfare check upon an adult male subject who was reportedly sleeping on the edge of the platform. During a wants/warrants check of the subject, the officers learned he was out of compliance with his mandatory sex registrant status so he was placed under arrest for the violation. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the subject. He was then booked into the county jail for the violation.
Officers were contacted at the station by an adult female victim who reported an adult male exposing and fondling his genitals while aboard a Fremont-bound train. The officers then detained the subject and the victim placed him under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and debrief the subject. Two patrons reported that a male was standing on the platform and masturbating. The suspect was detained by responding officers and a witness made a citizen's arrest. The man was arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. He was issued a prohibition order prior to booking.
A victim reported a male was masturbating while staring at her aboard a Daly City train between the 12th Street and West Oakland Stations. The victim off boarded at the Embarcadero Station to make the report and the suspect followed her off the train. The suspect was described as a Black male, 25-30 years old, large afro, wearing khaki shorts and a white t-shirt. Officer searched the station but the suspect fled prior to their arrival. Officers possibly have identified a suspect in this case based on the physical description. Patrol to follow up on this case.
A patron reported a male masturbating in Car #1828 of a Pittsburg bound train. Officers intercepted the train at Walnut Creek and the victim pointed the suspect out to the officers. The suspect was off boarded and detained. A records/warrant check revealed the male had a felony CDC warrant for a parole violation and was a 290 registrant. In addition, the male had a prior conviction for Indecent exposure. The male was placed under arrest on the warrant and for indecent exposure. Detectives were notified of the arrest and will interview the male. A sergeant approved the arrest and the male was transported to the Martinez Detention Center and booked on the listed charges.
An officer responded to the station regarding the report of a suicidal female there. On his arrival, the officer contacted the female and determined she was in need of a psychological evaluation. Paramedics were summoned to the station at this point and, while awaiting their arrival, the female told the officer she had previously met a male adult at the station and together they had traveled aboard a bus to the city of Stockton. While aboard the bus and at a location in that city, the female stated she was sexually assaulted by the male. Paramedics then arrived at the station and the female was transported to a local hospital where she received medical treatment for the assault, as well as a psychological evaluation. A BART Police Detective responded to the hospital and interviewed the female. Stockton Police were notified of the assault and will handle the investigation.
A female reported that she was sexually battered by a man aboard a Fremont Bound train near Macarthur. The male touched the victim's breasts and buttocks. The suspect off-boarded at the Macarthur station and the victim stayed on-board the train. The suspect was described as a Black male, 50-60s, thin dark complexion, wearing a black jacket, black pants, white tennis shoes and holding a birthday bag. The victim took three photos of the suspect and will send the photos to the officer. The victim did not sustain injuries during the battery. An officer completed a sexual battery report.
A citizen reported that a male suspect was masturbating near the street elevator. Officers responded and observed the man in the act. He was arrested for committing a lewd act in public. The suspect was issued a citation for the violation and a prohibition order.
Two female victims reported that a male suspect seated in the bus zone followed them toward the station and attempted to speak with them while masturbating. The victims contacted an officer who was on patrol in the station and pointed out the suspect. The victims made a citizen's arrest and the man was taken into custody. Incident to arrest, a quantity of prescription narcotics was found on the man's person. The suspect was issued a prohibition order and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for indecent exposure and possession of narcotics.
Officers responded to John Muir Hospital in Concord for a report of a rape. An officer interviewed the victim and she reported that she was sexually battered at the North Concord Station on the evening of 8/12/14. The victim stated she was asleep on a bench when an unknown suspect groped her. The officer took her statement and completed a report. It was determined the incident took place in the City of Concord, so the case was turned over to Concord PD for follow-up.
A sergeant responded to the station regarding a suspect lewdly exposing himself to juveniles while aboard a train arriving at the station. On the train’s arrival, the sergeant detained a subject who matched the suspect's description given earlier by a reporting party. A wants’ check of the subject revealed he was not in compliance with his sex-registrant status, so he was placed under arrest for that violation. A search for a victim of the indecent/lewd exposure was unsuccessful, and the reporting party/witness was not readily available for an in-field identification. The sergeant debriefed the subject before he was booked into the county jail for not being in compliance with his sex-registrant status. Further follow-up with the witness will be performed.
Officers responded to station on a report of a person who was masturbating. Upon arrival, the subject was detained, positively identified, and placed under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure. The subject was taken into custody for indecent exposure, violation of a court order prohibiting him from all BART stations, and violating his existing BART prohibition order. The suspect was issued an additional 90 day BART prohibition order. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
Officers responded to a report of a man who was groping the buttocks of a female while on a train. Upon arrival, a man matching the description was detained and positively identified by a victim as the person who had grabbed her buttocks while they were sitting on the train. The male was placed under arrest for sexual battery and was issued a 30 day BART prohibition order. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
A female victim reported that she was the victim of a sexual battery while on the Daly City train approaching Balboa Park Station. A male suspect sat next to the victim on the train and touched her thigh, arm and chest inappropriately while making sexual comments. The victim and suspect both got off the train and the victim reported the incident to the station agent. The suspect description was provided to San Francisco PD and they were able to detain the suspect at the station before BART officers could arrive. BART officers took over the investigation and the victim made a positive identification of the detainee as the person who battered her. She made a citizen's arrest of the man and he was arrested for sexual battery. The man was issued a prohibition order before being booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
While responding to a report of a man exposing himself on a train, an officer witnessed a man masturbating while exposing his private parts on the train. The subject was placed under arrest for indecent exposure. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest, and the suspect was issued a 30 day BART prohibition order.
A female claimed she was sexually assaulted by two males who were known to her while they on the last Richmond bound train and made the report at the El Cerrito Plaza Station. Sergeant E. White was on scene with the victim and Detective W. Sanchez was called out at 0210 hours. The woman is enroute to the County Hospital in Martinez. The suspect incident train cars were searched at the Richmond Yard for physical evidence and video retrieval. CSO D. Davis processed the possible crime scene on the incident train car. The investigation is on-going.
A suspect was exposing himself in the bus zone. A victim flagged down an Oakland Police Officer. The Oakland Officer detained the suspect until a BART Officer arrived and then the suspect was arrested. A Sgt approved the arrest and debriefed the suspect. The suspect was booked into the Glen Dyer Jail.
An female victim reported that on 4/30/14, at approximately 2100 hours, she was sexually assaulted aboard a Pittsburg bound train, at the West Oakland Station. The suspect groped the females buttocks and off-boarded at the 19th Street Station. Suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 30's, 5'07, medium build, and a dark complexion. The victim did not recall the train car number where the battery occurred. An officer completed a crime report.
A female patron reported a male was masturbating on a Fremont bound train. The victim off-boarded at Hayward and the suspect followed the victim off the train. The female reported the incident to the station agent and the agent called BART Police. Suspect was described as a Filipino male, 40's, wearing a black jacket with white stripes and wearing a maroon t-shirt. Responding officers located the male on the platform and detained him. The female positively identified the male as the person that was masturbating on the train. The male was placed under arrest. In addition, the male was in possession of a "meth" pipe and suspected narcotics. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest. The male was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
A female victim was riding the up escalator at the Stockton/Ellis entrance to the Powell Street Station. A male grabbed her buttocks and after a brief struggle, pushed the female down the escalator. The victim sustained minor cuts/scrapes to her hands and shoulders. She declined medical attention. Suspect is described as a Black male in his mid 20's, light complexion, 504 to 505, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Responding officers conducted a check of the station and the surrounding area for the suspect but with negative results. A report was taken and station video was requested.
Officers responded to a report of a male subject who had his pants down on board a Pittsburg bound train. The officers intercepted the train and located the subject in question. A wants check revealed that the subject had a no bail warrant charging indecent exposure issued by the California Department of Corrections. The subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for his warrant, felony indecent exposure, and failure to register as a sex offender, after he was interviewed by a detective. The subject was additionally issued a prohibition order. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest.
A station agent reported that there was a subject he was watching on a monitor who was masturbating underneath a sweatshirt in the station elevator. Officers and a sergeant responded and detained the subject in question. The ISRC was also able to view the incident as it was happening via the cameras. Further investigation revealed that the subject had a stay away order from all BART stations and that he was in the possession of narcotics paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for lewd and lascivious acts, violation of a court order, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

The suspect will be booked for indecent exposure after a psychological evaluation.
