Officers responded to a report that an adult male was making lewd gestures toward a 13 year old victim while on the train. The suspect was detained and ultimately arrested for annoying/molesting a child. The suspect was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A sergeant and a lieutenant detained a male suspect for reportedly exposing himself in an indecent manner while aboard a San Francisco-bound train. Shortly thereafter, a witness placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest for the violation. A subsequent wants/warrants check of the suspect revealed three (3) outstanding “no bail” narcotic warrants, held by the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office, for his arrest; he was also on active (narcotics) probation. A search of the suspect also revealed he was in possession suspected narcotics and related paraphernalia. The suspect, who refused to provide a statement, was issued a prohibition order before being booked into the county jail for indecent exposure, narcotics possession, violation of probation and the warrants.
A group of juveniles battered patrons aboard a Fremont bound train and one juvenile sexually battered a female patron. The train was held at Lake Merritt and officers detained the juveniles. The female placed the juvenile under citizen's arrest and he was cited/released to his father. Two other juveniles had two "no bail" warrants and were booked at juvenile hall. The others were released on-scene.
Officers responded to a report of a battery between a male and female. Both parties reportedly off-boarded at the Macarthur Station. The female victim reported that she saw a gun on the male subject’s left hip. The suspect and victim reportedly met each other earlier in the day, and while on the train, the male suspect committed a sexual battery against the female victim, who is a juvenile. The officers were unable to locate the suspect question. During the investigation, the female victim admitted that she ran away from home. The female victim was with another female juvenile friend, who turned out to be reported missing from the Hayward Assessment Center. The investigation into the matter continues.
A station agent reported a male suspect exposing himself at the station. Officers contacted the male and the station agent. The station agent placed him under citizen's arrest for indecent exposure. The male was issued a prohibition order and then medically and psychologically cleared for booking at the Santa Rita Jail for indecent exposure and a probation violation.
A train operator reported a male masturbating in the lead car of her train. Officers contacted the male at the Del Norte Station and the train operator identified him as the responsible person. She placed him under citizen's arrest for indecent exposure. A records check revealed a $10,000 warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was issued a prohibition order and then booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for indecent exposure and the warrant.
A male victim reported that a male suspect threw a small glass bottle at him, which narrowly missed him, after he saw the suspect masturbating near the station’s bicycle racks. An officer responded and safely arrested the suspect, who was positively identified as the responsible. A sergeant also responded, and approved the arrest. The suspect, who was issued a prohibition order, was then booked into the county jail for indecent exposure and assault w/ a deadly weapon. The victim was not injured during this incident, and the officer requested station video.
The mother of a 5 year old child reported that an adult male suspect was exposing himself and openly masturbating in the bus zone area of the station. The suspect was described as a black male, 50-60 years old, wearing a gray jacket and brown pants. Responding officers were able to locate and detain the suspect. A records check revealed the suspect was a sex registrant and out of compliance with his required registration. The victim declined to place the suspect under citizen's arrest, so the suspect was placed under arrest for the registration violation. The suspect was eventually booked into the Glen Dyer Jail for being out of compliance as a sex offender.
A victim reported a male masturbating on the train approaching West Oakland Station. Officers intercepted the train at the station and contacted the suspect. The victim identified him as the responsible and placed him under citizen's arrest for indecent exposure. The male was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for indecent exposure.
An officer was at the station, writing a citation, when a witness and female victim pointed to a male and said that the male had grabbed the victim's buttocks while on the platform. The suspect tried to run, but the officer was able to take him into custody with minimal force. The victim placed the male under citizen's arrest and he was issued a prohibition order before being booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for sexual battery.
Officers recognized a male at the station who appeared to match a recent BOLO for a wanted sex offender. The officers confirmed that the man had ab outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for parole violation. The man was arrested for his warrant and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
Officers and a Sergeant responded to the platform for a report of a battery that had occurred on board the San Francisco bound train. Upon arrival they met with the victim who stated that a female suspect grabbed her buttocks, pushed her to the ground and then proceeded to punch her in the face. The victim positively identified the suspect on the platform. Several witnesses also stood by and positively identified the suspect. The suspect was placed under citizen’s arrest for battery on a transportation passenger, and for sexual battery. Medical responded to the scene to check on the victim, but she declined and was given an ice pack. The Sergeant was already on scene for the in-custody approval. While in the holding cell awaiting to get processed for booking, the suspect had to be placed in the Wrap restraint. The suspect was subsequently booked into the Santa Rita Jail and issued a prohibition order.
Patrons on board the Pittsburg bound train reported that a male suspect was masturbating on board. The reporting party left the train at South San Francisco Station, but the suspect remained on board. Officers intercepted the train at Daly City Station and located the suspect on board. No other victims came forward. Record checks showed that the suspect had an outstanding $30,000 arrest warrant for larceny, held by SFPD. The man was booked at the SF County Jail for his warrant.
Officers responded to the report of a male suspect masturbating at the primary end of the station. On arriving, the officers saw the suspect engaged in lewd behavior and placed him under arrest. A warrants check of the suspect further revealed three burglary and theft related misdemeanor warrants, held by the San Francisco Police Department and totaling $150K in bail amount, for his arrest. The suspect was issued a BART prohibition order before being booked into the county jail for committing a lewd act in public and the outstanding arrest warrants.
A witness reported to an officer that a male suspect was exposing himself while standing in the stairwell of the parking structure. Upon arrival, the officers detained the male in front of the parking structure. The witness placed the male subject under citizen's arrest after positively identifying him at the scene. The male was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail and was given a prohibition order. The sergeant arrived at the scene to process the arrest.
A female patron reported that she was the victim of a sexual battery while entering Montgomery Station, at about 1645 hours today. The suspect approached the victim from behind while she was on the escalator fro the street to the concourse, and reached under her skirt to touch her private parts. The suspect then returned to the street and left the area. The suspect was described as a black male, about 25 years old, with a medium build and a goatee. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The victim did not report the crime until she reached Lake Merritt Station.
A female victim reported to the station agent at the 12th Street Station that a male had been masturbating while she was on the Richmond bound train between Embarcadero and West Oakland Stations. An officer responded to take a statement from her and an area check for the suspect (who had also exited at the 12th Street Station) was conducted, but he was not located. A light duty employee checking the surveillance cameras noticed a male at the station who matched the description. The suspect was contacted by an officer as he was about to board a train. The victim positively identified him as the person she had seen masturbating earlier and placed him under citizen's arrest. The male was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for felony indecent exposure (prior convictions for same offense) and for a parole violation. Train video was requested.
Officers were dispatched to check on a male who appeared to be passed out on a Dublin bound train. The officers made contact and the suspect provided a false name. Eventually officers took him into custody for providing false identifying information and discovered at the Glenn Dyer Jail that under his true identity he has a no bail parole warrant and that he is a sex offender out of compliance. He was booked into the jail for the warrant and for not meeting the conditions of his parole.
An officer responded to a BART property near the station on the report of two subjects setting up what appeared be a tent. One of the subjects was described as a White male wearing a black sweatshirt and a brown T-shirt. No description of the second subject was provided. On arriving at the property, the officer contacted the lone white male who matched the earlier reported description. The officer performed a criminal history check of the subject and learned he was not in compliance with his sex registrant status. The officer placed the subject under arrest for the violation, and a sergeant approved the arrest. The subject was then booked into the county jail.
On 10/13/15 an adult female victim reported that an adult male suspect, driving a tan colored vehicle, approached her in the station’s bus zone with his penis exposed and essentially asked if she wished to sit on his lap. The victim declined the suspect’s offer, walked away, and reported the incident to an officer. On 10/15/15, at about 1800 hours, the victim reported seeing the same suspect in the station’s parking lot. Officers responded and detained the suspect without incident; the victim positively identified the suspect as the responsible in the initial incident. A wants/warrants check of the suspect revealed he was a convicted sex offender with a previous conviction for indecent exposure. The suspect was then placed under arrest for indecent exposure; the arrest was approved by a sergeant. The suspect, who was mirandized by the officer and who denied any wrongdoing, was issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for indecent exposure.
An officer responded to the station regarding a female juvenile runaway, from the state of Washington, who was reportedly speaking with her parents from a station pay phone. The officer located the juvenile, who then told the officer that she had been drugged and sexually assaulted while in San Francisco Police jurisdiction. At this point, the officer transported the juvenile to San Francisco General Hospital where they were met by San Francisco Police investigators, who ultimately took custody of the juvenile and handled the sexual assault investigation.
Two female BART employees reported a male exposed himself to them on the platform of the East Dublin Station. Officers detained the male and the victims placed him under citizen's arrest for indecent exposure. The male was booked at the Santa Rita Jail and was given a prohibition order.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly exposing his buttocks, in front of patrons, after briefly off-boarding a train at the MacArthur station and then re-boarding the same train. The victim, a train operator, positively identified the suspect and placed him under arrest for indecent exposure. A sergeant responded and approved the arrest. The suspect was then booked into the county jail for indecent exposure, in addition to being issued a prohibition order.
El Cerrito PD reported they were with a victim of a kidnapping and Rape. The female Victim stated she was kidnapped at gun point from the El Cerrito Station, driven to a location off Carlson Blvd and raped. After the rape, the victim managed to escape from the suspect and ran for help. Patrol officers responded to start the investigation and Detectives were called out for the case. All notifications were made.
A male suspect detained by officers for reportedly smoking a controlled substance while aboard a train was found to be in violation of an active court order prohibiting him from BART property. He was also found to be out of compliance with his mandatory sex offender registration status. The suspect was placed under arrest for the violations, and a sergeant approved the arrest; the initial narcotics violation was not substantiated. He was then booked into the county jail for the violations.
