A female reported a male subject was masturbating on A San Francisco Airport bound train between Pittsburg/Bay Point and North Concord/Martinez stations. The officers contacted the victim aboard the train who positively identified the suspect and placed him under citizen’s arrest. The suspect was on misdemeanor probation out of Alameda County. The suspect was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility where he was booked for indecent exposure and a probation violation. The suspect was also issued a prohibition order prior to being booked into jail.
A female reported to the station agent that as she was walking in the parking structure a male suspect came up behind her and grabbed her/sexual battery. The female fell to the ground and the male fled the area on foot. He was not located after an area search. The female victim declined any medical attention. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported that he was sexually assaulted at the station at about 0900 hours. Suspect was a OM about 6’0 tall. Suspect is a Lyft driver. Suspect vehicle is a white vehicle possibly a Toyota or Honda. BART Detectives and ID Technicians were notified and responded to the scene. Video Recovery was also notified and an officer canvassed the neighborhood for possible external surveillance video. The case is still under investigation.
A female reported a male grabbed her crotch at the Powell Street Station. Officers responded, searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.
A patron reported seeing a male and female involved in some sort of a dispute in the parking lot near the station entrance. The reporting party believed that the female was in danger and officers responded to check her welfare. On arrival, officers found the male and female involved in sexual activity in the parking lot. Officers determined that the woman had not consented to sex and the male was detained for investigation of possible sexual assault. The on-call detective responded and interviewed both parties. The male was ultimately arrested for rape and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
A patron reported via email and phone that she was the victim of a sexual battery on 2/9/17, about 1720 hours. A male suspect grabbed the victim's buttocks while she was on the platform. The victim shouted at the suspect, who then attempted to grab her crotch. The victim punched the suspect in the nose, making it bleed. The victim boarded an arriving Daly City bound train and left the station. The suspect was last seen on the platform. The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'3" tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and carrying a backpack. The victim was not injured.
The female victim reported that while aboard a train, approaching the station, a black male suspect seated across from her began masturbating. Officers intercepted the train at the station and detained the suspect without incident. Based upon the victim’s citizen’s arrest, the suspect was placed under arrest, issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for indecent exposure.
A female victim reported that a male suspect followed her from the parking lot and grabbed her buttocks and genitals. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old, 5'5" tall, with a heavy build, wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect was last seen walking toward the Fruitvale Village. Officers responded, but did not locate the suspect in the area.
A male suspect (Steven SCOTT, 36, San Francisco) was arrested for committing a lewd act in public, and found to be on active probation for a similar offense. During the booking process, the suspect ingested potential narcotics so he was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Once cleared by medical staff, he will be booked into the county jail.
A female reported that she had been the victim of a sexual assault inside the station restroom. A possible suspect was detained a short distance away from the station. The on-call detective responded to coordinate the investigation. The investigation ultimately determined that the report of a sexual assault was in error. The victim was uncooperative and was ultimately determined to be in need of psychological evaluation/treatment. The male was released without charge, and the female was transported to John George Pavilion for psychiatric treatment.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly creating a disturbance aboard a train. A subsequent wants/warrants check revealed an outstanding state parole violation warrant for the suspect's arrest, in addition to an active sex registrant violation. The officers placed the suspect under arrest for the warrant and registration violation, and booked him into the county jail; no one came forward wishing to pursue a complaint against him.

The driver of a Tri-Delta Transit bus reported that a Black male, 40's, tall, thin, would not exit the bus at the end of the route. The driver left the bus and returned a short time later to find the male apparently masturbating under his clothing. The driver exited the bus, but the male chased the victim to a nearby business where she locked herself inside a restroom. Brentwood PD officers responded and detained the suspect. BART officers arrived and conducted a records check on the suspect. The suspect was found to be on court probation. The bus driver positively identified the suspect who was then placed under arrest upon a citizen's arrest by the driver. The suspect was transported to the Martinez Jail for lewd conduct and a probation violation.
A female patron, who often reports being stranded at the end of revenue, called to report that a male suspect walked up behind her and fondled her genitals. Officers responded, but could not locate a suspect or any witnesses. The victim declined medical attention. The case will be forwarded to detectives for follow-up investigation.
A relative of a female juvenile reported that her niece had been reported as a missing runaway a couple of weeks ago from a group home and had since been kidnapped. The relative stated that she obtained information that the female juvenile was in a vehicle with her abductor and that they were en-route to the Coliseum BART Station. The female victim was confirmed as a listed runaway. Officers staged in the area as the victim communicated with her cousin via text updating of her location. An officer spotted the suspect vehicle at the station and stopped it without incident, taking the driver occupant into custody. The female juvenile victim was also located safe in the vehicle. The female victim was in the company of another female adult in the vehicle. A detective interviewed both females and they both admitted that the suspect intended on driving them to the BART station for purposes of prostitution. All parties were transported to the Lake Merritt Station where the victims and suspect were interviewed by a detective. The suspect was also found to be on parole for pimping. The suspect is to be booked into the Santa Rita Jail for pimping, sexual intercourse with a minor, parole violation, and human trafficking. The kidnapping allegation is unsubstantiated at this point. The juvenile female victim was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
A male juvenile with Downs Syndrome reported being sexually assaulted in the station restroom by an adult male suspect who followed the victim inside. Officers responded and detained the suspect. The victim was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for examination of possible sexual assault. The suspect was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for committing lewd acts on a child/dependent person.
Passengers reported a sexual battery on the train. An officer intercepted the train and noticed that multiple passengers had the suspect detained. The officer contacted the victim, witnesses and the suspect and determined that the male suspect was seen rubbing his groin (clothed, but grinding) against the female victim. He was placed under citizen's arrest by the victim. He was issued a prohibition order and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for sexual battery. Train car video will be requested.
Patrons called in to report a male trying to choke a female on a bus at the park and ride. Antioch PD officers arrived and detained the male suspect. BART officers arrived and located two victims and multiple witnesses, who were all interviewed. One victim stated that she was on the bus when the suspect approached her from behind and tried to choke her with a shoelace. She was able to get her hands under the shoe lace, which prevented her from being choked. The second victim intervened and the suspect attempted to grab her phone and then grabbed her on the buttocks. Both victims are juveniles. The suspect then off-boarded the bus and threatened other passengers before he was detained by Antioch PD officers. The suspect, who was unwilling to give any information, was medically cleared before being issued a prohibition order and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon, attempted grand theft, sexual battery and child abuse.

The man was cited for sexual battery and was transported by ambulance to County Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Record checks showed that the suspect had an outstanding $1,500 arrest warrant for theft, held by Emeryville PD. The suspect was booked for sexual battery, public intoxication and his warrant. A victim reported a male suspect masturbating while aboard a Millbrae-bound train. The victim further reported seeing the same suspect pickpocket a cell phone from a sleeping passenger aboard the same train. Upon the train’s arrival at the station, officers detained the suspect and located the victim of the cell phone theft. A short time later the initial victim positively identified the suspect as the responsible for both the sex crime and the cell phone theft. Officers then placed the suspect under arrest and found that he was still in possession of the stolen cell phone. A subsequent criminal history check of the suspect revealed his sex registrant status was out-of-compliance; a previous conviction for indent exposure, and an active stay away order prohibiting him from BART property. Sometime after his arrest, however, the suspect made suicidal statements and was transported to the county’s mental health facility where he was placed on a psychiatric hold, in addition to a police hold. Once cleared by facility staff, the suspect will be booked into the county jail for (felony) indecent exposure, grand theft, the sex registrant violation, and for violating the stay away order.
A female patron reported that an unknown suspect who was sitting next to the victim on a train between South Hayward and Lake Merritt Stations groped the victim's breast during the trip. The victim got off the train at Lake Merritt Station and reported the incident later by phone. The suspect was described as an Indian male, mid to late 30's, 6'5" tall with a skinny build, wearing a long sleeve blue flannel shirt and aviator style sunglasses.
After receiving reports of a male who was seen masturbating in the parking structure on multiple mornings last week, officers positioned themselves where they could observe surveillance cameras this morning. The suspect arrived at the station at around the same time, went to the same spot he had been seen last week and began masturbating in the stairwell of the parking structure. The officers were able to contact and arrest him. The male was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the lewd act in public. Surveillance video from the previous incidents has been requested.
