A male suspect attempted to take a suitcase from a male victim while on the platform. The victim attempted to stop the suspect from taking the luggage and the suspect punched him in the face. A short fight ensued and other witnesses intervened to help the victim maintain possession of the suitcase. The victim suffered minor facial injuries during the incident. Officers were able to detain the suspect without incident and discovered that he was in possession of suspected rock cocaine and a crack pipe. He was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for attempted robbery and possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The victim was treated on scene for his minor injuries.
Witnesses reported that a female juvenile attempted to rob a female patron while on the Daly City bound train. The suspect was part of a group of about 10 juveniles. The suspect was described as a black female, wearing a pink shirt and denim shorts. The suspect pepper sprayed the victim and a male companion, before fleeing from the station. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area. The victims were not injured.
A male victim reported that he was in his vehicle in the lot near 35th Avenue when two suspects approached (#1 - BM, 22-23 years, 5'11", thin, all black clothing, no description of suspect #2). Suspect #1 produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim said he didn't have any money, so the suspect took his cell phone and fled the area. The victim was not injured.
The victim was seated on a Daly City bound train when the suspect, described only as a Black male, 18-19 yrs, wearing dark clothing, boarded the train at either Coliseum or the Fruitvale Station, and sat next to her. When the train stopped at the West Oakland Station, the suspect snatched the victim’s iPhone and ran from the train. The victim gave chase and confronted the suspect. When the victim attempted to retrieve her phone, a struggle ensued and the suspect pushed the victim to the ground before fleeing on foot from the station. The victim was not injured. An area check for the suspect was negative.
A patron waiting on the Pittsburg platform at 12th Street Station was approached by a suspect wearing a ski mask who claimed to have a gun and demanded the victim's purse. The victim complied with the suspect's demands and the suspect fled with the loss upstairs and exited via the 11th Street stairwell. The victim was not injured and officers searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-30 years old, 5'10" tall wearing dark clothes and a ski cap.
Two suspects attempted to rob a female victim of her cell phone in the east parking lot. The suspects brandished a BB gun and attempted to take the phone. The victim was knocked down, but retained possession of her phone. The suspects fled into the surrounding area and were not located.
A male victim was robbed of his duffel bag after two suspects (BMs, 20s, no further description) pushed him down in the parking lot. The suspects fled in a black Jeep Cherokee and were not located. The victim refused medical attention.
A male victim was robbed of $500 by a female suspect (WF, 40s, 5'4", white shirt with the word "pink" on it) who brandished a knife and punched him. The suspect fled and was not located and the victim refused medical attention.
A male victim was walking through the parking structure when two male suspects (BMs, 14-16 years, dark hoodies) approached him. One of the males punched him in the head while the other displayed a small, black semi-automatic handgun. They then took his backpack, which contained a laptop, cellphone and headphones. The victim claimed no injuries and declined medical attention. The suspects were not located.
A male victim reported that he was punched and kicked by 3-4 male suspects (BMs, late teens, hoodies, no further description) while on the train. They then took his iPhone and lap top computer before running out of the train and out of the station. The suspects were not located. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of facial cuts and swelling.
A male victim reported that three suspects attempted to forcibly take his cell phone while on the platform. The victim kept his phone and called police. Responding officers detained three juvenile suspects, who were positively identified by the victim. The suspect were arrested for attempted robbery and were booked at the San Mateo County Juvenile Hall.
The female (juvenile) victim reported that a male (juvenile) suspect known to her forcibly took her iPhone and fled from the station. A sergeant and an officer responded, but were unable to readily locate the suspect. An attempt to track the phone was also unsuccessful. Further follow up investigation will be performed by the officer.
A victim reported two males were at the Richmond Station that robbed her on May 19th. Officers responded, detained the suspects and placed them under arrest when positively identified by the victim. The suspect were booked into jail
The male victim reported that while sitting in stairwell at the station, an unknown black male adult punched him in the face and took his property (i.e., clothing and miscellaneous items) before fleeing on Macdonald Ave. toward Harbor Way. Officers unsuccessfully searched for the suspect. The victim, who did not sustain any visible injuries, declined medical attention.
A victim reported being robbed by two male suspects (#1 - HM, 20s, 6', 180 lbs, short beard, dark jacket and pants, #2 - Unknown race male, black hoodie, blue jeans) while he was in the bus zone. Suspect #1 brandished an 8" knife before demanding money. The victim gave them his wallet, which contained his ID, an ATM card and $25 cash. The suspects then fled on foot and were not located. The victim was not injured. Station video will be requested.
A female suspect attempted to steal a purse from a female victim as she exited the platform. The suspect punched the victim, but she was able to retain her purse and fled on a bus. The victim went to San Leandro Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. San Leandro PD detained a possible suspect near the station. Responding officers took custody of the suspect and the victim and witnesses positively identified the female juvenile as the suspect. The suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and was booked at Juvenile Hall.
A female victim reported her Apple IPhone 6 was stolen on board a train while it was stopped at the platform. The victim stated a male grabbed onto her cellular phone while she was holding it as the doors started to close. The victim stated she struggled with the suspect in an attempt to retain her phone, however the suspect was eventually able to pull it from her hands. The victim fell onto the ground due to the struggle. The victim was not injured from the fall. The suspect fled upstairs and was unable to be located. The suspect was described as being a Black male adult, in his 20s, 5’09”, 120 pounds wearing red hooded sweatshirt.
