A male (Yalon Carter 27, San Francisco) was arrested for robbery after taking a cell phone from a victim on a train, and immediately detained by other patrons.
A female victim reported that she was robbed at gunpoint by two black male suspects in the west parking lot. One suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with his face covered by a bandana. Both suspects fled on foot toward Hesperian Boulevard, and were not located during an area search. The victim was not injured.
Officers contacted a male for fare evasion. The juvenile falsely identified himself. It was later discovered that the male was a missing person, had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and in possession of stolen property that was connected to a robbery from 9/28/17. The juvenile will be transported to Juvenile Hall.
A victim reported that two suspects (Black males, 18 years old, black hoodies) attempted to batter him and take his cell phone. The victim defended himself and was able to retain his phone. The suspects fled the scene on foot.
A male asked a vendor for change and struck the vendor when he opened his cash register, causing minor injury. The suspect was not able to remove cash from the cash register. The suspect fled and responding officers attempted to locate him but with negative results.
A suspect grabbed a victim's backpack and fled off a Richmond bound train that was stopped at the Embarcadero Station. The victim chased after the suspect, caught him and recovered their property but was battered by the suspect. The suspect fled before police arrived.
The on-duty station agent reported that a male suspect (Black male, 50s, light blue long sleeve shirt, black and white plaid shorts, black shoes, short afro, slim build) became upset and battered her at the Rockridge Station. The suspect then took the victim’s work bag and fled the scene. Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results.
The victim was asleep on a Pittsburg-bound train at the station when he awoke to find the suspect rifling through his backpack. The victim confronted the suspect who then began punching and kicking the victim. The victim off-boarded while the suspect remained on the train. An officer arrived and arrested the suspect after the victim positively identified him. The victim was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. The suspect was booked into the Redwood City Jail for attempted robbery and issued a Prohibition Order. Train car video was requested.
The victim was on board a Fremont bound train between the Hayward and South Hayward Stations, when the suspect approached her, produced a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded the victim's purse. The suspect took the victim's purse and according to a witness, off-boarded the train when it reached the South Hayward Station. The suspect was described as a Black male, 20-30 yrs, wearing a black beanie, black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. An area check for the suspect was conducted with negative results. The victim was not injured. Train car and station video will be requested.
Victim was seated in front of the station when a black male adult attempted to punch her while grabbing her cellular phone from her hand. The suspect was able to take the cellular phone from her hands and fled into the station. It is believed the suspect boarded a Warm Springs bound train and fled the area. The suspect was unable to be located by the responding officers. Report taken.
A male suspect (Perry, Maurice, 44 years old, San Francisco) attempted to take a victim's bag from his hands while aboard a San Francisco train at the 12th Street Station. After a brief struggle the victim was able to maintain possession of his property. Perry attempted to take the same victim's bag from his hands a second time. After a brief struggle the victim was able to maintain possession of his property. Officers responded to the West Oakland Station and arrested Perry for robbery. Perry will be issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
A victim reported he was robbed at the Rockridge Station at about 1913 hours. The victim was sitting on a bench when suspect #1 (Black male, 20-30 years old, black sweater, baggy jeans) threatened to kill him and demanded his property. Suspect #1 also told the victim he had a gun. Suspect #2 (Black male, 20-30 years old, camouflage pants, blue sweatshirt) ripped the victim's laptop from his grasp. The suspects fled the scene on foot. No weapons were displayed.
A victim reported being robbed at the Fruitvale Station at about 2230 hrs. on 8/31/17. The victim was in the bus zone when she was struck with a closed fist by a male suspect (Black male, late 20's-early 30's, 5'6", short dreads, blue jeans, Raiders jersey and jacket) and her phone was stolen. The suspect directed criminal threats at the victim and then fled the scene on foot.
A victim reported he was robbed at the Hayward Station around noon. The victim was crossing a parking lot when the suspect approached him and demanded that he empty his pockets. Loss was $50.00. A male victim reported that three Black males (20's, gray clothing) struck him in the mouth with a closed fist and stole his necklace and ring in the bus zone at the Bay Fair Station. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
A victim reported he was struggling with a male over his laptop when a second male (Austin Lashagway, 20 years, Lafayette) grabbed the laptop and fled. Lashaquway was located and detained, pending identification by the witnesses/victim. Officers discovered Lashagway's backpack contained a loaded revolver with the serial numbers filed off. Lashagway was positively identified and was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail. He was issued a prohibition order. Case is under investigation.
A male victim reported that while aboard a Dublin bound train at the Fruitvale Station a Black male snatched his gold I-Phone 7 Plus from his hand and fled the train. The victim chased the the suspect on foot. The suspect struck the victim in the face with a closed fist as he confronted him. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
A male victim reported that three Black male juveniles pushed him and snatched his T-mobile phone (unknown model) from his hand. The victim stood up and was kicked. This caused him to fall to the ground. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
A female victim reported that a male suspect (unknown race, thin build, green or blue canvass jacket and black backpack) struck her across the face with an open hand and stole her gray IPhone 6 at the Embarcadero Station. The victim, who refused medical treatment, complained of pain to her face and left hand. The suspect exited the station via the Spear Street exit and fled the scene.
A male victim reported that four male suspects (Black males, 20's, wearing black and Raiders clothing) beat him and stole his Samsung watch from his wrist, his IPhone 7 Plus and his wallet containing $40. The suspects fled the scene on foot.
Patrons reported that a male suspect attempted to steal a victim’s hat, and then took a second victim’s cell phone, while on the street escalator at the 16th Street Station. Officers responded and located the suspect, who was positively identified by the victims. The victim’s cell phone was recovered. The suspect was arrested for robbery and booked at the SF County Jail.
A male victim reported that a male juvenile grabbed his phone from his hand and ran off of the train with two other male juveniles at the Rockridge Station. When the victim tried to follow the suspects, one of them reached into his waistband, indicating that he had a weapon, so the victim stopped following them as they exited the station. Officers responded and were able to locate two juveniles who ran from them, but were eventually detained nearby. The victim identified one of the males as being the one who took the phone, but could not positively identify the other as being involved. The identified suspect eventually directed officers to the phone, which had been discarded and it was returned to the victim. That suspect was interviewed and booked into juvenile hall for robbery and resisting arrest. The other juvenile was missing from a group home, so he was transported back to the home in San Francisco.
A female victim reported that she was robbed in the bus zone, about 1830 hours. A male suspect with a box cutter took her backpack and fled on foot. The victim suffered a minor cut to her hand and refused medical attention.
A male victim reported that two male suspects (BMs, 20s, 58"-5'10", black clothing, one had shoulder length dreadlocks) came up behind him in the parking lot, knocked him down, punched and kicked him and took his backpack, wallet and watch. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of facial swelling, an abrasion on his head and pain in his fingers. The suspects were not located and are suspected of committing another similar robbery during the same time frame in the neighborhood nearby (report taken by Berkeley PD).
