A male victim reported that he was punched and kicked by 3-4 male suspects (BMs, late teens, hoodies, no further description) while on the train. They then took his iPhone and lap top computer before running out of the train and out of the station. The suspects were not located. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of facial cuts and swelling.
A male victim reported that three suspects attempted to forcibly take his cell phone while on the platform. The victim kept his phone and called police. Responding officers detained three juvenile suspects, who were positively identified by the victim. The suspect were arrested for attempted robbery and were booked at the San Mateo County Juvenile Hall.
The female (juvenile) victim reported that a male (juvenile) suspect known to her forcibly took her iPhone and fled from the station. A sergeant and an officer responded, but were unable to readily locate the suspect. An attempt to track the phone was also unsuccessful. Further follow up investigation will be performed by the officer.
A victim reported two males were at the Richmond Station that robbed her on May 19th. Officers responded, detained the suspects and placed them under arrest when positively identified by the victim. The suspect were booked into jail
The male victim reported that while sitting in stairwell at the station, an unknown black male adult punched him in the face and took his property (i.e., clothing and miscellaneous items) before fleeing on Macdonald Ave. toward Harbor Way. Officers unsuccessfully searched for the suspect. The victim, who did not sustain any visible injuries, declined medical attention.
A victim reported a male attempted to rob her and threatened to harm her when she did not surrender her property. Officers responded, located the suspect and placed him under arrest.
A victim reported being robbed by two male suspects (#1 - HM, 20s, 6', 180 lbs, short beard, dark jacket and pants, #2 - Unknown race male, black hoodie, blue jeans) while he was in the bus zone. Suspect #1 brandished an 8" knife before demanding money. The victim gave them his wallet, which contained his ID, an ATM card and $25 cash. The suspects then fled on foot and were not located. The victim was not injured. Station video will be requested.
Victim reported she was battered and robbed of her wallet. Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results. An officer took the report.
A victim reported he was robbed of $40.00 at the 24th Street Station.
A female suspect attempted to steal a purse from a female victim as she exited the platform. The suspect punched the victim, but she was able to retain her purse and fled on a bus. The victim went to San Leandro Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. San Leandro PD detained a possible suspect near the station. Responding officers took custody of the suspect and the victim and witnesses positively identified the female juvenile as the suspect. The suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and was booked at Juvenile Hall.
A female victim reported her Apple IPhone 6 was stolen on board a train while it was stopped at the platform. The victim stated a male grabbed onto her cellular phone while she was holding it as the doors started to close. The victim stated she struggled with the suspect in an attempt to retain her phone, however the suspect was eventually able to pull it from her hands. The victim fell onto the ground due to the struggle. The victim was not injured from the fall. The suspect fled upstairs and was unable to be located. The suspect was described as being a Black male adult, in his 20s, 5’09”, 120 pounds wearing red hooded sweatshirt.
A victim reported she was knocked down and robbed at the 12th Street Station.
5/9/17. 1720 hours A victim had her backpack taken from her while aboard a San Francisco bound train at West Oakland.
A victim was confronted at the station by two male suspects, who then punched and kicked him. The suspects removed the victims Jansport backpack and Samsung headphones and fled on foot towards B and Grand Street. An area check for the suspects yielded negative results. An officer is investigating the incident. Station video will be requested.
The victim reported that on 5/3/17 he was robbed of his jewelry, at gunpoint, by a male suspect while in the station’s bus zone. On this date (5/5), the victim saw the suspect at the station and called police. Officers responded, and eventually arrested the suspect, who possessed a portion of the victim’s jewelry; he was not in possession of a weapon. Subsequently, the suspect was booked into the county jail for robbery and issued a prohibition order. TSOC Notified.
A victim reported a male subject had approached him in the bus zone to demand money. The victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money and started to walk away. The suspect followed the victim and told him he had a gun, as well as made motions with his hands that he had a gun. The suspect also threatened the victim that if he called the police he would kill him. Officers responded to the station and were able to locate and detain the suspect. The victim was able to positively identify the subject detained as the person who had attempted to rob and threaten him. The subject detained by the officers was found to have been issued a prior prohibition order by BART. The male subject was taken into custody and booked into Contra Costa County jail for all his violations. The subject was also issued a new prohibition order for today’s attempted robbery.
A victim reported she was robbed at the Del Norte Station. Officers responded to the call but the suspect was gone.
A male victim reported that he was walking to his car on the third floor of the parking structure, a male suspect (BM or HM, early 20s, 5'11", grey stocking cap, dark jacket and pants) ran up to him and hit him in the head before taking his keys. The suspect then ran to the parking structure stairwell and was not located. The victim received a small laceration to his head and was transported to the hospital for treatment. A female victim reported that two suspects approached her as she was talking on her cell phone and walking through the parking lot. One of the suspects (BM, late teens-20s, black hoodie, white pants) punched her in the head, knocking her to the ground, as he took her cell phone. The second suspect (BM, late teens-early 20s, no further description) opened her backpack and took another cell phone before the suspects fled the area. The victim declined medical attention. Station video will be requested.
Officer arrested a subject for robbery and battery. The subject took a victim’s cell phone by force and then battered the victim. The subject was ultimately arrested for robbery and battery. A prohibition order was issued. Video requested.
A victim reported that a male suspect (BM, 18 years, grey jacket, beanie) approached him and asked to use his phone. When the victim handed it over, the suspect thanked him for the phone, told him to give him the headphones too and threatened to beat him. The victim handed over the Beats headphones too and the suspect and a female accomplice (BF, red headband) left the area and were not located. The phone was not able to be tracked. Station video will be requested.
