A sergeant on patrol on the walkway, observed a hand to hand transaction between two adult males. The sergeant contacted the seller, who belligerently resisted the sergeant's attempt to detain him. It took the combined efforts of the sergeant, an officer and two ACSO deputies to gain control and handcuff the violent suspect. The suspect was in possession of marijuana packaged for sale, loose marijuana, ecstasy pills and numerous copied DVDs. The suspect was booked.
An officer on patrol observed a subject attempting to exit the station without using a revenue ticket. The subject turned belligerent towards the officer during the contact and attempted to walk away. The subject, who spat on the officer as the latter was attempting to detain him, was arrested and booked for battery on an officer.
An officer observed a male juvenile smoking a cigarette in the trailing car of a Richmond bound train. When the officer asked the juvenile to step off the train, the suspect tried rushing past the officer. While grappling with the vigorously resistive suspect, the suspect dropped a loaded semi-automatic handgun to the trackway. A second officer arrived and assisted handcuffing the suspect. The firearm was recovered, and the 16 year old suspect was transported to Juvenile Hall.
A male juvenile contacted for a possible narcotics violation was subsequently arrested and booked into juvenile hall on the above-noted charges after he attempted to escape while handcuffed and bit an officer who was physically attempting to control him. AC Transit dispatch reported that four rowdy, male teenagers, who had been drinking, were trying to board a bus. Officers detained an 18-year-old man in the bus zone who possessed a bottle of alcohol. The suspect fled. He was arrested after a foot pursuit during which he discarded an unloaded, stolen .380 semi-automatic pistol. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail for possession of a concealed weapon, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.
