An adult male, who was a suspect of a grand theft violently resisted officers at Powell St. station before he was apprehended. The suspect had stolen personal property from a patron in the station and fled in the direction of officers nearby. The suspect was booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice after being treated at San Francisco General Hospital for lacerations. Two officers sustained multiple injuries. They were transported to local hospitals where they were treated and released. 0610-0452 L21.
An adult male who was reported to be aggressively panhandling and yelling at patrons resisted arrest when contacted by two officers. The subject had to be physically restrained and eventually subdued with pepper spray. Arresting officers determined that the subject was in need of psychiatric care.
Officers detained two male juvenile fare evasion suspects, both of whom had to be wrestled into custody. One suspect was in possession of a loaded and concealed handgun, and was subsequently booked at Juvenile Hall. The second suspect was cited and released to his grandparents.
Two large groups of juveniles/young adults were in the bus zone area, fighting each other. It took several officers to gain control of the group. Three suspects were taken into custody and booked, one of whom was in possession of a loaded, concealed firearm.
A BART police officer received a report that a man was selling drugs. The officer approached the suspect on the platform. The suspect repeatedly reached into his pockets leading the officer to believe that the suspect might have a weapon. The suspect then fled the station, heading towards the mall. The officer fell and injured his leg during the foot pursuit. The officer was taken to the hospital and was expected to need stitches.
Officers observed an adult male harassing patrons at 16th St. station. The suspect fled a short distance when officers tried to detain him. Officers caught him and found narcotics paraphernalia and burglary tools in his possession. The suspect was booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice.
A citizen observed and reported three male juvenile suspects stealing two bicycles at the station bicycle racks. A CSO observed two of the suspects fleeing on stolen bicycles. Officers apprehended one suspect and later issued him a citation and released him to a guardian. One bicycle was recovered.
Officer contacted a male subject who was refusing to off-board an out-of-service train. Subject physically resisted officer's attempts to off-board him, and assistance from Dublin PD was needed to take the subject into custody. Subject was arrested and booked at Santa Rita jail for resisting arrest.
An adult male contacted for fare evasion fled on foot and had to be physically subdued. The suspect, who was found to be in possession of marijuana for sale, was booked on said violations including resisting arrest.
