Officers detained an adult male for urinating in public. During the detention, one of the officers smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the subject’s person, in addition to observing a bag containing the suspected narcotic protruding from his clothing. A subsequent search of the subject revealed he was in possession of more than 1 ounce of the narcotic, which was packaged in a manner consistent with possession for sales; so he was placed under arrest for the narcotics violation. As the officers attempted to identify the subject, he provided what was later determined to be false identification. On obtaining his true identity, the officers learned he was on active juvenile probation for robbery. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the post arrest debrief. The subject was then booked into the county jail for possession for sales of a narcotic, providing false identification to police and probation violation; he was also issue a prohibition order.
Officer detained a male suspect for fare evasion. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for a juvenile offense. The man was arrested for his warrant. A search of the man's person revealed a loaded revolver concealed on his person. The man was booked at the San Francisco County Jail for his warrant and for possession of a loaded, concealed firearm. An officer contacted an adult male for smoking in the station and discovered that he had a $50,000 warrant for trespassing. The male was cited for smoking before being booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
Patrons called to report a male being verbally abusive to passengers and drinking from an alcoholic beverage. Officers intercepted the train and determined that the male was too intoxicated to care for himself. No one wished to make a complaint for his behavior, so he was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for public intoxication.
An officer chased after an adult male who, after fare evading, fled from the station and would not submit to a detention. As the subject continued to flee through a nearby park, he slipped and fell to the ground. Assisting officers and a sergeant then arrived and placed the subject in handcuffs without incident and/or use of force; and arrested him for resisting/delaying a police officer. The subject was clear of wants/warrants. Subsequently, the subject was issued an infraction citation before being booked into the nearby county jail for resisting/delaying a police officer. As a result of the foot pursuit, the officer experienced minor upper body pain, but did not require immediate medical attention.
An officer detained an adult male for smoking in the station and discovered that he had three $40,000 warrants for burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected crack cocaine. The male was cited for smoking and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrants and possession of narcotics.
An officer responded to check the welfare of a male suspect on board the out of service train who would not wake up. The suspect became hostile when awakened and walked away from the officer. He eventually fare evaded out of the station and became combative when the officer detained him. Fremont PD officers assisted in taking the man into custody. The man was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
An officer contacted an adult male for blocking free movement. The male had been contacted for the same offense earlier in the morning and had prior contacts for the same offense. The suspect became irate, approached the officer and had to be physically restrained. He received a small cut to his face during the struggle, but refused medical attention. He later made statements that led to him being sent for psychiatric evaluation. A criminal hold was placed on him, to be booked for the listed charges and two small traffic warrants once he is treated/released.
The station agent reported that a male suspect was inside the parking structure elevator masturbating. Officers responded and detained the man. The station agent made a citizen's arrest of the man for indecent exposure. Record checks showed that the man had a stay-away order from all BART stations. The man was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail for indecent exposure, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and violation of a court order.

Record checks showed that the suspect had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for contempt of court, held by Oakland PD. The suspect was evaluated at a local hospital for claims of a head injury. After being medically cleared, he was booked at Santa Rita Jail for resisting arrest and his outstanding warrant.

A male subject detained by an officer for an infraction violation was uncooperative when instructed to remove his hands from his pants’ pocket, and attempted to walk away from the detention scene. The officer attempted to physically restrain the subject, who continued with his efforts to get away. Assisting officers then arrived and the subject was physically subdued and arrested for resisting arrest. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the use of force investigation. While in custody, the subject complained of pain to pre-existing injuries to his head and foot, so he was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Once he was medically cleared, the subject was booked into the county jail for resisting arrest. One of the assisting officers sustained a minor injury during the incident, but did not require medical attention at the time.
Patrons on board the Pittsburg bound train reported that a black male suspect on the train was creating a disturbance. The suspect was described as a black male with a gold mouthpiece. Officers detained a matching suspect. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding $20,000 arrest warrant for domestic violence, held by Oakland PD, as well as a $911 warrant for fare evasion, held by San Francisco PD. The man was arrested on his warrants and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A patron reported that a male suspect was creating a disturbance inside the station. The suspect confronted members of a religious group handing out information and threw their literature to the ground. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20's, with a thin build and long blond hair, wearing a plaid shirt. This was the same description as an earlier disturbance call at North Berkeley Station. Patrons reported that the man exited the station to Shattuck Avenue and officers located a man matching the suspect description in the plaza above the station. An officer observed the man confront a male citizen on the street and back the man into a bus shelter. Officers detained the man, who became physically resistive. Officer were eventually able to secure the suspect in a WRAP restraint. The citizen on the street reported that the suspect threatened him with bodily harm and demanded money from him. The suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and resisting arrest and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A BART Officer saw a male suspect urinating in the paid area of the station. The subsequent detention/investigation revealed that the suspect had an active prohibition order as well as having a crack pipe. The suspect resisted the Officer by attempting to walk away and flee. The Officer used force (take down) to prevent the suspect from escaping. A Sgt responded to approve the arrest and complete a use of force investigation.

An officer contacted an adult male for willfully blocking free movement inside the station. A records check revealed that the male was on parole with an outstanding parole hold. The male also had additional warrants held by SFPD for burglary ($15,000) and miscellaneous traffic violations. The male was placed under arrest without incident. The male was booked into the SF County Jail for the parole hold and the warrants.
A sergeant was on the platform when he noticed an adult male urinating on the platform. A records check revealed two no bail warrants for possession of marijuana for sales. The male was cited for urinating and booked into the Redwood City Jail for the warrants.
An officer observed a man drinking in public in the free area of the station. Record checks showed that the man's probation prohibited him from possessing alcohol. The officer attempted to place the man into custody for violation of his probation and the man resisted arrest. The man was taken into custody after a struggle. A search incident to arrest revealed a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine. The man was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for public intoxication, resisting arrest, battery on an officer, probation violation and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. The man was issued a prohibition order prior to booking.
Officers detained a male for having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public (platform). During the detention the suspect became uncooperative and stated “ I will fight you.” The suspect got in a fighting stance and did not cooperate. The officers then used physical prowess (use of force) to handcuff the suspect. A Sgt responded to the scene and conducted a use of force investigation. The Sgt was instructed to ensure station video will be requested. The suspect was booked into the Glynn Dyer Jail.
An officer detained a female suspect for fare evasion. Record checks showed that she had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for a juvenile offense, held by Alameda County. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Alameda County Juvenile Hall.
Patrons pointed out a male aboard a train at the station and said he was panhandling. The officer took the male suspect off of the train without incident. None of the patrons wished to place the male under citizen's arrest for panhandling. The male was not in possession of a BART ticket and was found to have a stay away order to stay away from BART. He was taken into custody for violation of the court order. He was issued a citation for fare evasion prior to being booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the court order violation.
An officer contacted a subject who was blocking free movement while lying on the stairwell at the Market and Main Street entrance to the station. During the contact the subject littered by throwing food items onto the floor and then resisted the officer by attempting to walk away. The officer managed to detain the subject by using physical force. During this time the officer also determined the subject was too intoxicated to care for himself and placed him under arrest for public intoxication, in addition to: blocking free movement, resisting arrest, littering and for an outstanding $385 alcohol infraction warrant, held by the San Francisco Police Department. A sergeant responded in order to approve the arrest, debrief the subject and perform the use of force investigation. The subject was then booked into the county jail. The officer and the subject were not injured during the incident.
A patron reported that there was a white male passed out on the Fremont platform. Officers responded to check the man's welfare and learned that he had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for narcotics violations, held by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
