Officers responded to West Oakland station to investigate a report of a female on a Daly City train who was brandishing a box cutter in a threatening manner. Officers detained the suspect and determined that the suspect had been involved in a dispute over a seat and had brandished a box cutter in a threatening manner towards the victim. The victim placed the suspect under citizen's arrest and the suspect was cited and issued a prohibition order.

Third rail power was dropped and trains were held out until the males were clear of the tracks. Officers responded and detained both men. An employee identified the men and made a citizen's arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed that one man had illegal prescription medication and the other was in possession of brass knuckles. The male with the medication was cited for possession of prescription medication without a prescription, possession of an open container and trespassing on railroad property. The other suspect was booked at the San Mateo County jail for possession of illegal weapons, possession of an open container, and trespassing on railroad property.

One officer suffered facial injuries during the struggle, and was treated at the scene.
