A anonymous patron reported to a station agent that a male subject on a Richmond bound train was boisterously bothering patrons on the train.  Officers met the train at the El Cerrito Del Norte station and located a suspect, who was intoxicated and unable to care for his own safety.  There were no complainants for the disturbing the peace call and the suspect was arrested for being intoxicated in public, and subsequently booked.  The suspect was in possession of a small amount of suspected crack cocaine and will be charge with such.

A subject fare evaded into the paid area of the station and was contacted by a BART Officer.  A warrant check by  the Officer revealed a misdemeanor no cite warrant out of BART (Alameda County) for Public Intoxication.  The subject was taken into custody and booked at San Mateo County Jail for the warrant.

A sergeant on patrol responded to the station bus zone on the report of a male suspect yelling, screaming and being boisterous for a half an hour.  The sergeant contacted the suspect and determined he was intoxicated in public.  The suspect was arrested and booked for public intoxication at the Martinez Detention Facility.

Battery To Officer/Resisting Arrest

Lake Merritt

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male on the platform in the station.  The officers determined the subject  was unable to care for his own safety, and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.  While being escorted upstairs to the patrol vehicle, the handcuffed suspect became belligerent and tried to flee from the officers.  The officers finally subdued the very resistive suspect, who also head butted one of the officers.  While in the patrol vehicle, the suspect continuously banged his head against the vehicle’s interior.  After being denied at Glen Dyer Jail due to being a danger to himself, it was decided that the suspect be taken to Highland Hospital for medical clearance prior to being transported to John George Psychiatric Facility for an evaluation.  The suspect is to be booked for battery upon a police officer, resisting arrest, and public intoxication after being cleared from the John George Facility.  1109-1093 L12.

Richmond Train near Hayward Station - 1109-0659

BART Police received a call of an aggressive male harassing people on a Richmond bound train approaching the Hayward Station.  Officers responded to the call and a performed a security check on the train at the station.  Officers contacted a person matching the suspects’ description and drinking from an open container of alcohol.  When the subject was off-boarded for the open container violation it was determined that the subject was also publicly intoxicated, and he had a $500 warrant for being under the influence.  Patrons aboard the train told officers that this person was the one that had been harassing people but, no-one wanted to make a formal complaint.  The suspect was arrested for Public Intoxication, the warrant, and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.

An officer responded to the station on a report of a male stumbling and tripping on the platform.  Upon arrival, the officer saw that the man was unable to care for his own safety and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.  A search of suspect incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of a small amount of marijuana.  The suspect was booked at the Glen Dyer jail for public intoxication, and was given a citation for possession of marijuana.  1109-0784/0789 L12.

A man was seen by an officer trying to explain to the Station Agent why he didn’t have a ticket.  The officer approached and could smell a strong odor of alcohol.  The suspect admitted to consuming 12 beers, he could not recall how or when he got on BART, where he lived or what day it was.  The suspect had two outstanding Misdemeanor warrants totaling $5114.00. He was booked for Public Intoxication and the warrants.

Officers responded to the station on a report of  a fight on a train. On arrival, the officers located two adult males who were in a dispute. Investigation revealed that the victim had been walking on city streets near the station when the suspect hit the victim for no apparent reason. The victim followed the suspect to the Fruitvale station where he called the police. The suspect was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for battery and public intoxication.

A black male was shouting vulgar obscenities at female patrons.  A female patron was standing by to make a complaint.  BART Officers arrived on the scene and detained the identified suspect.  The officers determined the suspect had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, and he was unable to care for his safety.  The officers placed the suspect under arrest for public intoxication and the female victim signed a complaint against the suspect for disturbance of the peace.  The suspect was transported to Hall of Justice without incident.

An adult male suspect boarded a Fremont bound train from Bay Fair Station.  The victim was already aboard the train and he saw the suspect board the train.  The victim has had prior run-ins with the suspect before so, he tried to gather up his stuff to get away from the suspect.  Before he could leave, the suspect recognized the victim and sprayed him in the face with pepper spray.  Officers intercepted the train at the Hayward station and contacted the involved parties and witnesses.  The pepper spray was recovered.  The suspect was arrested for Assault with a Caustic Chemical, Public Intoxication, and a Probation Violation.  The suspect was very intoxicated and did not give a statement.  The suspect was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.

Officers responded to a call of an intoxicated subject lying down by the fare gates and screaming and yelling racial slurs.  The subject is well known to BART Police and Station Agents.  The BART Officer arrived and determined that the suspect was Publicly Intoxicated.  As the officer attempted to place the suspect into custody he resisted.  The officer struggled with the suspect but he was able to place him into custody.  The suspect was booked at the San Francisco Jail for Public Intoxication, Resisting Officer, and a small outside traffic warrant.
