Officers responded to a fight in the bus zone of the Del Norte Station.  Officer attempted to contact a male suspect but he ran from officers.  After a brief foot chase, officers captured the male but he continued to struggle with the officers.  It was determined that the male had been drinking and was unable to care for himself.  The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and resisting arrest.  A sergeant responded to the scene to approve the arrest and to debrief the male.  The male was booked into the Martinez Jail.

A victim reported that an adult male brandished a knife at the Fruitvale Station.  The male suspect was described as  a Black male, young, tall, thin, black red baseball cap, black jacket and black jeans.  Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect.  It was determined that the male was intoxicated and was unable to care for himself.  Witnesses reported that the knife fell out of his pocket and the male did not threaten anyone with the knife.  The male picked up the knife and placed it back into his pocket.  The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail.  A sergeant responded and approved the arrest.

Harassing Patrons on a Train

Embarcadero - 1212-0792

An anonymous party reported that an adult male was intoxicated and harassing patrons aboard an airport bound train at the Embarcadero Station.  An officer responded and off boarded the male from the train.  No one came forward to lodge a complaint against the male.  The male gave a false name to the officer and attempted to walk away from him several times.  The officer attempted to place the male into handcuffs but the male resisted.  After a brief struggle, the officer was able to place the male into handcuffs, without injury.  The male was identified and debriefed by  a sergeant.  The suspect was booked at SF Jail for public intoxication.

 Lewd Conduct/Public Intoxication

South Hayward - 1212-0112

The victim was aboard a Fremont bound train approaching the South Hayward Station.  She reported a suspect, who also appeared intoxicated, fondling himself on the train.  The suspect was described as a Black male,  unknown age, wearing a blue windbreaker and grey pants.  According to the victim, the suspect told her that she was, "pretty" and asked her to sit next to him.  When the victim refused, the suspect placed his hand in the front of his pants, closed his eyes and started rubbing his penis.  The suspect never exposed his penis, but continued to rub his genitals until he passed out.  A sergeant responded and detained the suspect on the train after the victim pointed him out to the sergeant.  The suspect was taken into custody pursuant to a citizen's arrest by the victim for a lewd act in public.  The suspect was questioned by the sergeant and denied any wrong doing.  The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the above listed charges.

A patron reported seeing a male squatting down by the tire of a vehicle in the lot and she believed he was slashing the tire.  An officer noticed a male on the city street nearby who matched the description given by the reporting party.  The officer noticed that the male was squatting down by the tire of another vehicle.  When the officer tried to make contact with the male, the suspect ran behind a building and was found hiding in some bushes.  The officer was able to detain the suspect without incident.  The officer determined that the male was intoxicated.  When the officer checked the tire of the vehicle he saw the suspect near, he noticed that the tire had been slashed.  Another vehicle in the BART parking lot was found to have a slashed tire.  The suspect was in possession of a small knife.  The male was debriefed regarding BART related crimes by the zone sergeant before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for Public Intoxication, Resisting/Delaying an Officer, Vandalism and a Probation Violation.

Resisting Arrest

An officer contacted an intoxicated man.  The suspect resisted being arrested for public intoxication by clenching his fist as if preparing to assault the officer and by pulling away from the officer.  The officer used his Taser on the suspect and took him into custody.  The officer and the suspect were not injured.  A sergeant responded to the scene to approve the arrest and to conduct a use of force investigation.  The suspect was medically cleared prior to being booked into the Redwood City Jail for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

A sergeant saw an intoxicated male at the station.  As the sergeant was contacting him, the male mentioned that he had a concealed collapsible baton and wanted get rid of it.  The sergeant took possession of the baton and took the male into custody.  The male was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail for Public Intoxication and Possession of a Weapon (baton).

Trespassing/Interfering with the Operations of a Railroad

Embarcadero - 1211-1637

A man was detained by officers for trespassing in the track #2 tunnel at the north end of the platform.  A BART work crew escorted the man out of the tunnel and kept him under observation until the officers arrived on scene.  The suspect was arrested for trespassing in the tunnel and for public intoxication.  The suspect was debriefed by a sergeant, who also approved the arrest.  The suspect claimed to have been trying to walk home after missing the last train out of the station.  The suspect was booked into the San Francisco Jail.  TSOC was notifed.

An officer was dispatched to the Ashby Bart Station for a report of an aggressive intoxicated male inside the station.  The officer located the subject (White male, 506,160) and determined that he was too intoxicated to care for himself.  The male was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.  As the officer was attempting to place him inside the patrol car, the male violently resisted his efforts.  Force was used to place him side the patrol car.  A supervisor responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.  The male was transported to the Glenn Dyer Jail for booking.  While at the jail, the male resisted the officer's attempts to walk him into jail.  A supervisor responded to the scene and  conducted an investigation.

The ISRC received a report of a male subject who may have attempted to jump in front of the SF bound train.  Officers arrived and began obtaining witness statements.  The investigation revealed that the patron was sitting on a platform bench drinking from a bottle of vodka as the train approached.  The patron, who was heavily intoxicated, stood up and walked towards the train which had stopped on the platform.  The patron stumbled forward, hit his head on the side of the train and fell to the ground.  The patron suffered a facial laceration.  Witnesses confirmed the patron did not attempt to jump in front of the  train.  Paramedics transported him to a local hospital for further treatment and for over intoxication.  Station video was requested.  The train was delayed for approximately 17 minutes.

Officers arrested a male suspect on the platform for public intoxication.  According to the station agent, the suspect was reportedly intoxicated and belligerent.  The officers determined that the suspect had an outstanding misdemeanor $5,000 San Francisco warrant for petty theft with a prior for theft or burglary.  The suspect also had two San Francisco misdemeanor traffic warrants.  The suspect claimed to be a gang member and made multiple verbal threats to kill the officers.  The suspect was arrested on the warrants, for public intoxication, and for obstructing or resisting an executive officer.  A sergeant approved the arrest and debriefed the suspect.  The suspect was booked into the San Francisco Jail.

Two officers responded to the station to intercept a Pittsburg/Bay Point train in which, according to patrons, two men were fighting.  A male suspect was arrested for punching another man in the face.  The train was held while the officers located the suspect and victim, and identified and off-boarded five witnesses.  Train-service was delayed for 20 minutes.  A sergeant approved the arrest and debriefed the suspect.  The suspect is to be booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for battery and public intoxication after he is medically cleared at the county hospital.
