Concord - 1704-0476

An officer contacted a male subject who was smoking in a prohibited area in front of the fare gates at the Concord BART station. The subject became uncooperative and started to walk away from the officer as he was trying to detain him. The subject slapped the officer's hand when he tried to grab him in order to prevent him from walking away and then began to run away from the officer. The officer eventually caught up to the subject and held him at gunpoint in an alleyway between residences in the City of Concord. It was later determined the subject had discarded a firearm prior to surrendering to the officer. The subject was taken into custody with the assistance of officers from the Concord Police Department and was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. The subject was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for all of his violations.

Officers noticed two individuals at the end of the platform in an area known for drug use. They made contact and determined that both people had warrants for their arrest. One had two $10,000 warrants for drug possession and embezzlement and the other had a $25,000 warrant for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Both were taken into custody and one was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine and a pipe. They were both booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrants and the one for the possession charges as well.

The officer also located a large sum of cash in the suspect's possession. The suspect was placed under arrest. The Narcotics Task Force Officer was notified of the arrest.

Employees reported that two males had entered the station without paying, and then urinated on the platform. Both males, who were in possession of open containers of alcohol, then crossed the tracks from platform #1 to platform #2. Third rail power was dropped and trains were held out until the males were clear of the tracks. Officers responded and detained both men. An employee identified the men and made a citizen's arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed that one man had illegal prescription medication and the other was in possession of brass knuckles. The male with the medication was cited for possession of prescription medication without a prescription, possession of an open container and trespassing on railroad property. The other suspect was booked at the San Mateo County jail for possession of illegal weapons, possession of an open container, and trespassing on railroad property.

She was not injured, but medically cleared by paramedics before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the listed charges.

Record checks showed that the man had two outstanding arrest warrants for narcotics offenses, totaling $40,000 bail, held by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. The man was arrested for battery and for his warrants. However, the man made statements that required he be psychologically evaluated. He was transported by ambulance to John George Pavilion for evaluation and treatment, and will be booked when medically cleared.
