A sergeant and three officers detained five suspects for blocking an escalator to Hallidie Plaza West. Two adults were cited and released for possession of contraband. Two juveniles were released to guardians. A 17 year old female was a reported runaway from Woodland, who was captured after a foot chase through the station. She was turned over to Child Protective Services.
Officers detained a subject near the 5th and Market entrance after patrons reported a group of subjects smoking and selling marijuana. The subject, found to be in possession of packaged marijuana for sale, was arrested and booked accordingly.
BART officers assisted SFPD in an area search for suspects who robbed the Payless Shoe Store on Market St. above the station. Two suspects were detained and but later determined not to be the perpetrators. One subject, however, was found to be in possession of marijuana for sale. Additionally, he also had $47,000 in outstanding warrants including a felony warrant charging possession of narcotics for sale. The subject was booked on the above charge and warrants.
A citizen pointed out four possible robbery suspects to a lieutenant. The suspects fled through the station and one of them dropped a loaded handgun. While an officer recovered the firearm, a sergeant chased down the suspect who had dropped it. The suspect violently resisted arrest, but was taken into custody. That suspect was arrested and booked for possession of a stolen, loaded and concealed firearm and resisting arrest. A second suspect was apprehended, and cited for possession of marijuana.
A uniformed officer patrolling a train observed a seated subject preparing a substance for injection. Further investigation revealed that the substance was cocaine. The suspect was arrested and booked for drug and paraphernalia possession.
An officer on patrol on-viewed an adult male in possession of marijuana and subsequently arrested the subject for possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and for being in violation of parole.
Officers were conducting a security check of Civic Center Station when they observed a man in possession of drug paraphernalia. Upon detaining the suspect they noticed he was also in possession of cocaine base. The suspect was arrested and booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice. 0612-0866 L21.
A suspect, who was reported as a suspicious person, was contacted at the Bayfair Station. The officer determined that the suspect was under the influence of drugs. Incident to arrest the officer located a "crack pipe" on the suspect's person. The suspect, booked at the Hayward Jail for the violations, is also being investigated as a suspect in a mayhem case in which he bit the ear off a Target store security guard in Hayward while engaged in a theft.
Officers contacted two individuals inside a suspicious vehicle at the Hayward Station. A consensual search of the vehicle was performed. A baggie of methamphetamine was located and the owner of the vehicle was booked at the Hayward Jail for the violation. BPD detectives are also investigating a number of catalytic converters found in the suspect's vehicle in light of a recent rash of catalytic converter thefts on the "A" and "L" lines.
What began as a welfare check of a possible lodger resulted in the arrest of an adult male for an outstanding narcotics violation warrant in addition to being in possession of 24 rocks of cocaine.
The station agent observed and reported a possible drug transaction between two males. One suspect quickly left the station prior to the arrival of an officer. The officer located and detained the second suspect, who was intoxicated, had fare evaded, and was in possession of cocaine. The suspect was arrested and booked.
An officer observed a male bicyclist who appeared to be casing vehicles in the parking lot. The suspect was detained and found to have two, no-bail, felony warrants, and was also in possession of heroin and marijuana. The suspect was arrested and booked.

Officers observed an adult male subject ingesting what appeared to be narcotics. The substance was determined to be heroin. The suspect was arrested and booked for possession of narcotics and three warrants.
An officer saw a 26-year-old man writing graffiti on the interior walls of a Dublin-bound train. As he was being arrested, the suspect tried to swallow some illegal drugs. The suspect was to be booked at Dyer Jail for vandalism and narcotics possession.
Officers on patrol of the street level plaza of 16th St. station noticed suspicious activity among of group of subjects and subsequently arrested an adult female for possession of narcotics in addition to her having an outstanding $20,000 warrant charging possession of narcotics.
Officers observed an adult male harassing patrons at 16th St. station. The suspect fled a short distance when officers tried to detain him. Officers caught him and found narcotics paraphernalia and burglary tools in his possession. The suspect was booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice.
