07-07-06 1815 hrs. A 34-year-old suspect called a cell-phone theft victim offering to sell her back her phone. BART police officers detained the suspect when he arrived to meet the victim. The suspect, already on parole for a narcotics offense, was arrested when he was found to be in possession of the stolen cell phone and crack cocaine packaged for sale.
A subject reported to be harassing a woman on board a Daly City-bound train at Powell St. Station was arrested and booked on warrants charging burglary/theft/drug violation in addition to being in possession of a controlled substance.
An officer was patrolling Hayward station and checked on a parked car with multiple occupants. The officer saw the driver holding up a large plastic bag of suspected marijuana. The driver was taken into custody and booked at Hayward City Jail.
