The male victim reported that while aboard a Dublin-bound train having just arrived at the station, a black male suspect snatched his iPhone 6 from his grasp and fled towards the station’s concourse level. The victim briefly chased after the suspect and last saw him running through the concourse level’s emergency exit and onto San Leandro Street. The suspect was not located by officers, and the stolen phone was trackable. The investigating officer requested station video.

A male juvenile grabbed an iPhone 6 from the hand of a female victim and then fled from the train. The victim followed and pointed the suspect out to other bystanders, who grabbed onto him as he tried to exit the station. The bystanders were able to restrain him until officers arrived and took him into custody. The victim was not injured and her phone was returned to her. She wished to pursue charges, so the male, who is on probation for robbery, was transported to juvenile hall to be booked for the theft.

The suspect is further described as: 13-14 years of age; medium complexion; 5’-5’2” tall; short “buzz cut” hair; wearing a brown hoodie, lite-gray sweatpants and carrying a backpack
