The male victim reported that while aboard a train at the station, his company’s Apple Macbook laptop was suddenly snatched from his grasp by a black male juvenile who then ran from the train. The victim chased after the suspect for approximately 2-3 blocks, and last saw him near the corner of Fruitvale Ave. and International Blvd. Officers responded, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as wearing a blue hooded-jean jacket and gray pants. The laptop was not readily tracked as the victim attempted to obtain its information from his employer. The investigating officer requested station video.
