Suspects involved in a purse snatch at 5th and Mission Streets were chased into the Powell St. station by victim/witnesses. The suspects were described as two female juveniles. Responding officers were unable to locate them. Case turned over to SFPD.
A male senior citizen was walking to the station through the pedestrian tunnel. A taller male suspect reached into the victim's shirt pocket, removed $400.00 cash and ran toward the parking lot. Officers searched the area, but the suspect was GOA/UTL.
An adult male, who was a suspect of a grand theft violently resisted officers at Powell St. station before he was apprehended. The suspect had stolen personal property from a patron in the station and fled in the direction of officers nearby. The suspect was booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice after being treated at San Francisco General Hospital for lacerations. Two officers sustained multiple injuries. A female patron had her bag snatched in the bus zone area by a subject described as a male in his late teens, husky build, wearing a blue short sleeved shirt. The suspect fled on foot. Loss was a cell phone.
A male suspect reached into a woman's vehicle, snatched her purse, and ran. A K-9 officer was in the lot and saw the suspect run into a nearby backyard. Several backyards and a few abandoned houses were checked, but the suspect was not located.

A patron reported that her iPOD was stolen from her rear pocket by an adult male wearing a green jacket and blue baseball cap. Officers searched the platforms at both Montgomery Street and Powell Street stations in addition to trains that the suspect might have boarded without success.
In an incident that occurred on 8/19 at 2300 hrs., a female patron reported that an adult male snatched her cellphone from her hand as she stood on the platform awaiting a train. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
A teenaged male took a purse/tote bag from an adult female victim, while on the escalator from the platform to the concourse level. The suspect fled the area, however, the property was found completely intact.
07-07-06 1815 hrs. A 34-year-old suspect called a cell-phone theft victim offering to sell her back her phone. BART police officers detained the suspect when he arrived to meet the victim. The suspect, already on parole for a narcotics offense, was arrested when he was found to be in possession of the stolen cell phone and crack cocaine packaged for sale.
A subject bumped into a female and picked a wallet from her purse. The victim realized her wallet was taken and demanded it back from the suspect, who complied. The victim reported the case after she got to work.
