The victim reported that their 2002 Honda Accord’s catalytic converter was stolen while parked at the station, between 0610 and 1515 hours on 5/18/17. A Community Service Officer took the report.
The victim reported the theft of their 2002 Honda Odyssey’s catalytic converter while the vehicle was parked at the station between 0530 and 1930 hours on either 5/3/17 or 5/4/17. An officer took the report.
While aboard a Dublin-bound train at the station, a black male suspect suddenly snatched the victim’s iPhone 6-plus and ran from train. The victim was not injured, and the investigating officer was unable to track the phone, nor locate the suspect. Station and train video will be requested.
While aboard a Daly City bound train at the Fruitvale Station, the female victim was confronted by a male suspect who took her iPhone and fled from the train, followed by the victim in pursuit. The station agent saw the commotion and chased after the suspect and eventually caught up the him and retrieved the victims iPhone. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. An officer is investigating the incident.
An officer took a telephone report from a victim who reported the theft of their vehicle’s catalytic converter. The victim stated he parked his vehicle, a 2005 Honda Element, on the second level of the parking structure on 5/6/2017 at 1400 hours. Upon returning to his vehicle at 1200 hours, he found his catalytic converter to be missing.
The female victim reported that 15 minutes prior, while aboard a San Francisco bound train at the station, a black male suspect suddenly grabbed her iPad and fled from the train as its doors closed. The victim then off-boarded at the next station and reported the theft. An officer contacted the victim, who was not injured, but was unable to track the iPad. The officer will request station and train video.
A victim reported the theft of their catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked at the station. The vehicle was parked at approximately 1530 hours and the owner returned at approximately 2259 hours.
The female victim reported that while aboard an East Bay bound train, a 50 year-black male snatched her iPhone 7 from her grasp and fled from the train shortly before it departed from the station. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as wearing an oversized black jacket. An officer contacted the victim to take the report. The officer was unable to track the phone, but will request video.
The victim reported that while aboard a Daly City bound train, their iPhone 6s was snatched from their grasp by a black male teenager who then fled from the train shortly before it departed from the station. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect was wearing a blue puffy coat and blue jeans with white spots. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. An officer contacted the victim, took the report and will request video.
A female victim reported that a male suspect (BM, 20s, 5'8", thin, green and black jacket) grabbed her phone out of her hand and fled from the train. The suspect was not located and the phone could not be tracked. The victim was not injured. Train/station video will be requested.
A BART contractor reported the theft of a $12,000 compressor unit from a BART construction site at East 12th Street and 29th Avenue in the city of Oakland (near the Fruitvale Station). The compressor was left on its trailer, unhitched, at 0800 hours and when the contractor returned at 1230 hours, the whole unit was gone.
