A victim reported that a male (BM, 30s, 5'4", black t-shirt, blue jeans) grabbed her phone from her hand while she was on the platform. The male fled the area and was not located. The phone was tracked for a short time, but was turned off before it could be located. The victim was not injured. Station video will be requested.
A victim reported that on 8/30 between 2200-2300 hours, a suspect (BM, 20s, 6', black clothing) approached him as the train arrived at the Civic Center Station and asked him for the time. When the victim took out his phone to check the time, the suspect told the victim to hand over his cell phone. The victim refused, but the suspect grabbed it from his hand and ran off of the train. Train/station video will be requested. The victim was not injured.
A victim reported that at about 0130 hours, while aboard Fremont train, a black male suspect snatched their iPhone 6 from their hand and fled from the train. The victim, who was not injured, remained on the train after the theft and off boarded at the San Leandro station. The victim eventually reported the theft via telephone. An officer made telephone contact with the victim and took the report. The suspect is further described as 35 years of age and last seen wearing gray hoodie. It is unknown at this time if the iPhone was trackable.
A victim reported that while aboard a Fremont bound train arriving at the station, a black male suspect snatched their iPhone 6s from their grasp and fled from the train. A witness followed the suspect to the area of 26th Ave. and International Blvd., Oakland, where BART and Oakland Police officers were unable to locate him. Officers were also unable to track the cell phone. The victim, who was not injured during the theft, further described the suspect as: early 20’s; 6’ tall; wearing a white t-shirt and shoulder length braids. A female victim reported that while aboard a Daly City bound train arriving at the station, a male suspect snatched her company’s $1K Apple Mac Book Pro lap top from her grasp and fled from the train. The victim also off-boarded the train and reported the theft to the station agent. Officers unsuccessfully searched for the suspect, and were unable to track the lap top. The victim, who was not injured during the theft, further described the suspect as: A black male; early 20’s; thin build; wearing a black shirt with a yellow/red pattern on the back. The victim's blue 10' Ford Focus had been entered and ransacked while parked in stall #360 sometime between the hours of 1900 on 8/20/16 and 1243 hours, today's date. The victim stated that he left the doors unlocked to his vehicle. The loss was reportedly a black Galaxy 5 phone, an Apple Mac Pro lap top and a Surface Pro tablet. The victim declined to have his vehicle processed for evidence.
The victim was aboard a Daly City bound train as it approached the station. The victim was holding her iPhone 6s when the suspect, a Black male in his 20's, 180 lbs., wearing a blue jacket with red and white striped, snatched the phone from the victim and fled from the train. The victim gave chase for a short distance, but could not catch up to the suspect. The victim was not injured and phone tracking was unavailable. Video was requested.
The victim reported the theft of her cell phone, an iPhone 6s plus with a flower case, which occurred on 8/13/16 between the hours of 2320-2330. The victim said she entered the station at the primary gates and noticed the two suspects as they fare evaded into the station. The victim took the stairs down to the platform and started looking at her phone. All of a sudden, one of the suspects, a BM, 20-25 yrs, 6', wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and blue jeans, snatched her phone from her hand and fled from the station. The second suspect was described as a BM, 20-25, long dreads, wearing a bright red shirt and shorts, also fled the station. The victim was not injured and can ID the suspects. Station video was requested.
A victim reported that while boarding a Pittsburg bound train someone took her black iPhone 6 from her shoulder purse. Responding officers were unable to track the phone or locate a suspect. A witness described the possible suspect as a black male; 5’10” tall; 200 lbs.; wearing a black jacket. The victim was not injured. Officers requested station video.

A victim reported that she fell asleep on a train and while it was at the Embarcadero Station, a female suspect (BF, 20s, hair in ponytail, white hoodie, black pants) took her cell phone from her unzipped bag (which was strapped over the victim's shoulder) and fled out of the train. The suspect, who was seen running out of the station, was not located. The phone could not be tracked and the victim was uninjured. Station and train video will be requested.
An elderly male victim reported that he was in the free area of the station when a male suspect snatched his cell phone from his hands. The suspect then fled on foot. An officer searched the area and located a possible suspect. The suspect was positively identified by the victim and is to be booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. The victim was not injured.
A victim reported a male suspect masturbating while aboard a Millbrae-bound train. The victim further reported seeing the same suspect pickpocket a cell phone from a sleeping passenger aboard the same train. Upon the train’s arrival at the station, officers detained the suspect and located the victim of the cell phone theft. A short time later the initial victim positively identified the suspect as the responsible for both the sex crime and the cell phone theft. Officers then placed the suspect under arrest and found that he was still in possession of the stolen cell phone. A subsequent criminal history check of the suspect revealed his sex registrant status was out-of-compliance; a previous conviction for indent exposure, and an active stay away order prohibiting him from BART property. Sometime after his arrest, however, the suspect made suicidal statements and was transported to the county’s mental health facility where he was placed on a psychiatric hold, in addition to a police hold. Once cleared by facility staff, the suspect will be booked into the county jail for (felony) indecent exposure, grand theft, the sex registrant violation, and for violating the stay away order.
A male victim reported that while seated aboard a Dublin-bound train arriving at the station, a black male snatched his gray iPhone 6S from his shirt pocket and fled. The victim, who was not injured, was uncertain whether the suspect remained aboard or had fled from the train after the theft; nor could he provide any further description of the suspect. An officer responded, but was unable to track the phone. The officer completed a report and requested train video.
A female victim reported that she was on a Pittsburg train approaching Montgomery when a Black male, late teens early twenties, skinny build, wearing black shirt and black pants snatched her Iphone 5s from her hands and fled from the train. Another good Samaritan intervened by tackling the suspect and was able to recover the victim’s Iphone 5s. The victim did not request medical attention and reported this incident about one hour after it occurred.

Officers responded to the station on a report of a group of juveniles who possibly matched the description of suspects who had been involved in recent robberies in the area. Before the officers arrived, the group of juveniles approached a female victim who was texting on her phone and one of the suspects grabbed the phone and fled with the loss. The suspects fled out of the station on foot and were not located. The loss was an Apple iPhone 6s, gold color with a pink case. Officers attempted to track the phone, but were unsuccessful. CCTV footage was requested.
