Three auto burglaries were reported at the Richmond Station in the parking garage. All three incidents occurred between 1700 hours on 8/2/17 and 0400 hours on 8/3/17. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window of a 1998 Honda Civic and stole a Fastrak transponder and a car stereo remote control. The suspect also smashed the left front window of a 2003 Mercedes E500 and stole the vehicle's registration, insurance card and a roll of toilet paper. A search of his person revealed a quantity of suspected marijuana and methamphetamine. Officers obtained a protective order for the female, who was not injured. A patron reported that their red and white Excalibur mountain bike was stolen from the racks in the paid area, between 7/27/18 at 0800 hours to today at 1800 hours. The victim secured the bike with a U-lock and cable lock.

The officers searched the area for the suspect who was described as a Black female, 25 years old, with black curly hair to her shoulders reddish blonde hair with ponytail in a puffball shape, light bluish green jacket, and with a 5 year old child. The suspect was in the company of another subject who was described as a light skinned other female in her twenties with blond hair. A juvenile suspect snatched a cell phone from a victim aboard a Dublin bound train at the Castro Valley Station. The victim chased the suspect but lost them. A responding officer located the suspect near the station and he was detained. The suspect was positively identified by the victim who recovered his phone. The juvenile was placed under arrest for theft from a person.
A suspect swung a crutch at the victim's head but missed. When the victim dodge the crutch, they fell to the ground and injured their leg. The suspect (Benjamin Horton, 27 years, Pleasanton) fled but was later located near the station. The victim positively identified Horton as the suspect. Horton was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on Assault with a deadly weapon and was issued a prohibition order. Detectives were advised of the case.
