A sergeant and four officers conducted a focused enforcement operation for fare evasion violations at the Daly City Station from 0800-1600 hours. Sixteen people were contacted, eight fare evasion citations were issued, two were field interrogated, two juvenile contacts and four non-fare evasion contacts were made, and one person was arrested for warrants. 2000 hours Two sergeants and eight officers conducted a focused enforcement for fare evasion between the Coliseum Station and Oakland West. 27 contacts were made consisting of 18 citations, 5 field interviews, 3 juvenile contacts and 1 arrest. L22
Sergeant Henderson and Officers Soto and Cheval conducted a Focused Enforcement Operation at the Richmond Station. Fourteen (14) violators were contacted, nine (9) were issued citations, two (2) field interviews were completed, and three (3) juvenile admonishments were given. There were no arrests. L12
10/4/2017 Five BART police officers and a sergeant conducted a Focused Enforcement Operation at the Concord and Civic Center Stations on 10/4/17. Six (6) violators were contacted. Two (2) were issued citations, and four (4) field interviews were completed. L19
10/4/17 at 2144 hours Officers contacted a male (Justin Mitchell, 36 yrs) for possession of a controlled substance. Mitchell was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants and possession of controlled substance. Mitchell was booked into the San Francisco County Jail.
Officers responded to a report of a person who had jumped onto the trackway and was brought back to the platform by patrons. The person (Anthony Stevenson, 28 years old, Oakland) was placed under arrest for an outstanding $10,000 arrest warrant. There were no injuries or delay in service.
10/2/17 at 2307 hours Officers were dispatched to the Powell Street Station regarding a female (Mariah Lees, 35 years old, San Francisco) threatening an employee. Officers detained Lees, who was positively identified as the suspect. Officers arrested Lees for terrorist threats, issued her a prohibition order and booked her at San Francisco County Jail.
10/02/17 at 1822 hours An officer detained a male (Keenan Jones, 28 years old, Richmond) for fare evasion at the Powell Street Station. A records check revealed Jones had an active misdemeanor warrant. Jones was cited for fare evasion and booked at San Francisco County jail for the warrant.
Officers contacted a male (Yaiszu Morikawa, 49 years old, Sacramento) who is known to have a valid court order prohibiting him from being on BART property. A records check confirmed the court order. Morikawa was placed under arrest for the court order violation and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Eve Yates (24 years old, Alameda) was detained for fare evasion at the Fruitvale Station. A records check revealed an active felony warrant. Yates was cited for fare evasion and arrested for the warrant. Yates was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
Four BART police officers and a sergeant conducted a Focused Enforcement Operation at the Lake Merritt and Fruitvale Stations on 10/2/17. Ten (10) violators were contacted. Five (5) were issued citations, four (4) field interviews were completed and one (1) warrant arrest was made. The officers also completed six (6) train rides. L24
Officers contacted a male (Deontae MARK, 19, Richmond) related to a disturbance in the station. Record checks showed that Mark had an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for failing to comply with a juvenile court order, held by the Contra Costa County Sheriff. Mark was arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A female victim reported that she was robbed at gunpoint by two black male suspects in the west parking lot. One suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with his face covered by a bandana. Both suspects fled on foot toward Hesperian Boulevard, and were not located during an area search. The victim was not injured.
An officer contacted a male suspect (Tarik AMIN, 21, San Jose) for smoking on the platform. Record checks showed that Amin had an outstanding $15,000 arrest warrant for providing false information to a peace officer, held by Burlingame PD. Amin was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
Officers contacted a male for fare evasion. The juvenile falsely identified himself. It was later discovered that the male was a missing person, had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and in possession of stolen property that was connected to a robbery from 9/28/17. The juvenile will be transported to Juvenile Hall.
9/29/17 at 0814 hours Officers detained a male (Makisi Aumuatatua) for fare evasion at the Fruitvale BART Station. Aumuatatua falsely identified himself to officers. Aumuatatua was arrested and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for giving false information to officers and probation violation. Aumuatatua was transported to Glenn Dyer
