A 39-year-old suicidal male was detained for psychiatric evaluation and transported to Peninsula Hospital.
With the assistance of Hayward PD, two suspects were detained at South Hayward station for a man with a gun. A gun was found in a carry-on bag belonging to one of the suspects. The reporting party positively ID'd one of the suspects as having the gun. Hayward PD took the case as they had to physically fight one of the suspects. One suspect also had a no-bail warrant.
A disabled man at Union City station was surrounded by two juvenile males who demanded money. The suspects went through the victim's pockets but did not take anything. The suspects were not located.
Plainclothes officers were doing a surveillance at West Oakland station and arrested an adult male for auto burglary. The suspect who used a hammer to break the window of a vehicle was booked at the Glenn Dyer jail for burglary and a parole violation.

An officer observed a subject climbing out of the back of a Jeep. The subject was found to have burglarized the Jeep and another vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked for auto burglary and possession of burglar tools.
A wheelchair bound victim was robbed of his PlayStation game at Bayfair Station by three juvenile males. After a radio broadcast, a San Leandro officer detained the suspects in the neighborhood. BART officers arrested the suspects after the victim identified them. Two suspects were released to their parents and the primary suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall.

BART officers responded to assist a victim of a robbery at Broadway and 8th Street in Oakland City jurisdiction. The victim was badly beaten and the juvenile suspects were thought to have fled into the 12th street station. Officers checked the station and several trains but did not locate the suspects.

BART communications received a call that an adult male was involved in a domestic dispute with an adult female at the Embarcadero Station. The two boarded an East Bay bound train. BART Officers intercepted the train at West Oakland. Both parties were located. The male was determined to be publicly intoxicated and booked at the Santa Rita Jail. The female party was transported to her home in Oakland.
A suspect snatched an iPhone4 from the hands of a male victim on the train. The suspect then fled to the street with a witness chasing him. The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'7" tall, wearing a white beanie, a black or blue jacket with white trim. An officer located a male matching the suspect's description a short distance away. Three witnesses were brought to the scene and the witness who chased the suspect from the train positively identified the male detainee as the person who stole the phone. The detainee did not have any phones on his person when contacted by the officers. The detainee was taken into custody and transported to Lake Merritt Station. Further investigation and review of available video footage from the station resulted in the investigating officers concluding the detainee was not the person who stole the victim's phone, despite the positive identification by the witness. The detainee was released without further delay. The suspect in this case was not located. The video footage will be forwarded to detectives for further investigation.
