A victim reported a male took a cell phone from her hand while on the escalator and fled from the station. San Francisco Police detained the suspect, who was positively identified by the victim. The juvenile suspect was placed under arrest for theft and probation violation.
A male victim reported being robbed while standing on the sidewalk near the bus zone by a man who pointed a gun at him and took his wallet. The suspect, who fled from the area, was wearing a hooded sweater with yellow writing in the front. There were no injuries.
10/11/17 at 0020 hours Numerous patrons reported that a male and female were fighting on the platform and on the track way at the West Oakland BART Station. Officers responded and detained two individuals that were identified as being involved in the fight. The male and female did not wish to pursue a complaint. The male was sent to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after making suicidal statements. While dealing with the above, officers saw someone throw a purse from the platform down to a male on the street level. The male became combative when officers tried to investigate who the owner of the purse was. After a brief struggle, during which he punched two officers, he was subdued and placed into a WRAP restraint. The suspect was placed on a psychiatric hold and will be booked into the county jail for resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer upon his release. It was later discovered that the purse was taken from a female who had been assaulted on the platform, but declined to pursue a complaint. A supervisor responded to perform the use of force investigation. One officers sustained injuries while attempting to restrain the suspect.

A person contacted for fare evasion (Antonio Hayes, 53, Oakland) was placed under arrest for a $5,000 warrant, prohibition order violation, and probation violation.
10/9/17 at 2004 hours Officers contacted Ian Frasier (20 years, San Leandro) for fare evasion at the Powell Street BART Station. He was cited for fare evasion and arrested for a misdemeanor warrant. Frasier was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
10/9/17 at 1913 hours Officers contacted Mason Nichols (24 years) for fare evasion at the Civic Center Station. He was arrested for 2 misdemeanor warrants. Nichols was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
Evan Downey (25 years, Berkeley) was stopped for fare evasion at the Concord Station. He was cited for fare evasion and arrested for a $7500 misdemeanor warrant and a $2500 misdemeanor warrant. Downey was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Officers contacted a male (Daune Walton, 50 years old, San Francisco) who is known to have a valid court order prohibiting him from being at the Powell Street Station. A records check confirmed the court order. Walton was placed under arrest for the court order violation and booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
On 10/9/17 from 0800 to 1000 hours four (4) BART police officers and a sergeant conducted a Focused Enforcement Operation at the West Oakland Station. Ten (10) violators were contacted. Five (5) were issued citations. The officers completed three (3) Field Identifications and made one (1) arrest. The officers also conducted one (1) welfare check. L24
Officers saw a male (Elisha KING, 24, Rodeo) in the station bus zone, suspected of setting an arson fire in a vehicle in the Richmond parking structure earlier today. King was arrested for arson and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Officers detained a male (Benjo SALINDONG, 27, Stockton) for fare evasion. Record checks showed that he had two outstanding arrest warrants: $25,000 for fraud, and $2,500 for theft, both held by SFPD. Salindong was arrested on his warrants. A search incident to arrest revealed narcotics paraphernalia. Salindong was booked at the SF County Jail.
