San Francisco PD was advised by an anonymous person that someone had placed a shopping cart onto the aerial trackway near the Daly City station. An out of service train collided with the shopping cart, and broke one of the train collector shoes. Officers arrived at the scene, but did not locate any suspects.
Officer contacted a male patron in the free area for panhandling and fare evasion. After giving several names, a warrant check revealed a no-bail parole violation arrest warrant. The subject, who was arrest for the warrant and for giving false identification to a peace officer, was booked at the San Francisco jail. 0
A large male aboard a Pittsburg bound train was rudely bumping into patrons and creating a disturbance. An officer detained the male, who was determined to be in dire need of psychological medication. The male was committed for evaluation.
A female grand theft victim fell asleep while aboard a Fremont bound train. When she awakened at Hayward Station, she realized someone had stolen her laptop. The victim's husband text messaged the suspect and arranged a meeting at South Hayward Station, promising cash for the laptop. The meeting took place, and officers converged on the suspect and his three associates. The laptop was recovered. The primary suspect was identified by a witness, arrested and booked.
Male suspect punched male victim after making racial slurs to the victim and his wife while onboard a Daly City bound train at Glen Park. Victim sustained injuries to his head and lips, and was taken to a hospital. Suspect was arrested and booked at San Francisco jail.
An off-duty BPD sergeant driving by the Castro Valley parking lot observed two suspicious subjects. He flagged down the on-duty sergeant and they contacted the two, now located by a burglarized vehicle. A search of the lot revealed another burglarized vehicle nearby. The suspects had also traveled to Dublin station, and a check of the lots there revealed three more burglarized vehicles. Both suspects were arrested and booked for burglary, possession of stolen property and outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.
Two subjects made mutual battery complaints against each other after they came to a physical confrontation when one pandhandled the other. Both subjects were cited for the battery and one was found to have a extraditable felony warrant out of Idaho. He was arrested and booked.
A group of male juveniles robbed a taxi cab driver of a few dollars. The cab driver followed the group to the platform and confronted them. The suspects began beating the victim and the victim ran onto the trackway to get away from the suspects. When an officer arrived, the suspects dispersed, but the officer managed to capture the primary suspect. The suspect was arrested and booked.
In the station bus zone, three male juveniles confronted a male victim, shoved a gun in the victim's chest and robbed him of his property. The victim last saw the suspects running through the parking lots. A K-9 officer stopped four possible suspects in a station parking lot, one of whom was in possession of a replica handgun. The detained individuals were determined not to be the suspects in this case. The actual suspects were GOA/UTL.
A female victim was seated aboard a Millbrae bound train departing SFO. She observed a male reposition himself within the car and sit across the aisle from her. The victim observed the male masturbating, and reported the incident to an officer at Millbrae Station. Officers detained the suspect and the victim positively identified him. The suspect was found to be a "high risk sex offender" parolee, being tracked with a GPS ankle bracelet. The suspect's parole officer was notified and the suspect was booked.
SFPD requested assistance regarding an attempted residential burglary suspect who had threatened witnesses with a gun and was last seen running onto an east-bound train at Embarcadero station. Officers searched the train and West Oakland station, and located the suspect who was positively identified by the witnesses. Suspect was turned over to SFPD.
A patron traveling on a train between Dublin-Pleasanton and Lake Merritt stations reported that a subject robbed him of cash. The suspect simulated a handgun in his pocket and threatened the victim. He escaped by off-boarding at Lake Merritt station and was not located. A weapon was not observed, and the victim was not injured.
Officers witnessed a male juvenile fare evade to exit at the station. A warrant check revealed a no-bail FTA arrest warrant out of Solano County. Subject was arrested and booked at San Francisico Juvenile Hall.
An officer contacted an adult male suspect who was bothering patrons as they attempted to purchase fare tickets. The suspect had a felony narcotics warrant and was booked at the San Francisco Hall of Justice. 0607-1627 L21.
An officer contacted a male adult suspect who was creating a disturbance at Fruitvale station. The suspect was arrested for outstanding warrants and violating a court order to stay away from BART property. Suspect was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail. 0607-1593 L21.
A female suspect called the San Francisco Police Dept. and said that a pipe bomb was placed in the station and then hung-up. BART and San Francisco officers searched the station and did not find any suspicious device. Two BART Police bomb detection canine teams also searched the station with negative results. There was not a delay in service.
While conducting a security check of the MacArthur station parking lot, officers spotted a subject burglarizing a vehicle in the lot. The subject was apprehended, and had a shaved key in his possession. The subject was arrested and booked at the North County jail in Oakland.
Near Fruitvale Station, a citizen notified officers of a male beating a female. When officers approached the pair, the male ran, but was apprehended. The male is the biological father of the woman's child. The woman had been battered, but her injuries were not serious. The male was arrested and booked.
A sergeant observed a suspect enter MUNI holding a large kitchen knife. The sergeant found the suspect was intoxicated, and placed him in custody. The suspect was also in possession of crack cocaine, and was subsequently arrested and booked.
A patron on a Millbrae-bound train reported observing a subject exposing himself and masturbating. The suspect was taken into custody at Fruitvale station and was possibly a danger to himself. He was committed for psych evaluation and cited for the indecent exposure on a citizen's arrest.
Near South Hayward Station, a citizen advised an officer that he'd just observed a male behaving erratically and pouring gasoline on a parked vehicle. The officer located the suspect and distracted him until other officers from BPD and HPD arrived. The combative suspect appeared to have mental issues and was likely under the influence of narcotics. HPD officers took custody of the individual.
A 17 year old female said she met an adult male acquaintance at Bay Fair Station and sat in his vehicle with him. She alleged that while at the station, he covertly drugged a beverage she'd been drinking. The victim said she was driven to an area motel, where she was raped. An investigation is on-going.
07-07-06 1815 hrs. A 34-year-old suspect called a cell-phone theft victim offering to sell her back her phone. BART police officers detained the suspect when he arrived to meet the victim. The suspect, already on parole for a narcotics offense, was arrested when he was found to be in possession of the stolen cell phone and crack cocaine packaged for sale.
