A male (Daniel Rock, 52 years old, San Francisco) entered track #1 between Civic Center and Powell Street Stations. Rock was detained and ultimately placed under arrest for interfering with railroad operations. Rock was cited and released.
Marcell Cross (41 years old, San Francisco) was arrested for the theft of a BMX-style bicycle from the bike rack at the Civic Center Station. Cross was in possession of burglary tools. He was also in possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Cross was cited and released.
A male victim reported that 10-12 juveniles punched him and stole his cell phone. Responding officers detained several juveniles, but the victim could not make an identification. The victim was transported to Alta Bates Hospital for minor injuries. The phone could not be tracked.
An officer saw a male and female breaking into a car parked in the lot. The suspects fled on foot, but the officer was able to apprehend the female. The male suspect was not located by other responding officers. The juvenile female suspect was ultimately cited to her parents for burglary, possession of burglary tools and attempted auto theft.
A victim reported the theft of their white Origin 8 fixed speed bike from the MacArthur Station. The victim used a u-lock to secure the bike to a bike rack on 11/22/17, at about 1745 hours and returned on 11/23/17, at about 0025 hours.
An officer confronted a male (Paris Renney, 29 years, Modesto)for smoking aboard a Daly city bound train that was stopped at the Coliseum Station. Renney was detained and a records check showed he is prohibited from being on BART property. Renney was booked into jail for smoking on a BART train, violation of a court order, and violation of probation.
Two minors reported that they were walking on 19th Street when three males robbed them of their cellphones, one of the males had a gun. Officers responded and detained 2 suspects, however the suspect reported to have a gun fled the scene. The victims positively identified the 2 suspects as being involved in the robbery. Both cellphones were recovered from the suspects. One suspect was transported to Juvenile Hall and the other suspect was cited and released to a parent. At this time the 3rd suspect is still outstanding.
A male and female reported that they were attacked by three suspects in the parking lot. The suspects were described as Hispanic males, aged 30-40. The suspects fled from the station and were not located by responding BART and Hayward PD officers. The male victim suffered major, but not life-threatening, stab wounds, and was transported to the hospital for surgery. The female victim was treated for facial injuries and was released from the hospital. TSOC notified.
A patron reported a male punched him, took his cell phone and fled the station. Officers responded, searched the area and located a subject matching the description given by the victim. Sean Shelton (46 years old, Fairfield) was positively identified by the victim as the person who robbed him. Shelton was arrested for robbery and issued a prohibition order. The phone was not recovered.
Officers responded to the Richmond Station regarding a subject trying to get into the fenced construction area. An officer located Victor Araujo (32 years old, Oakland) who matched the description given. Araujo was detained and a records check revealed Araujo had a no-bail felony warrant. Araujo ran from the officers, a brief foot pursuit ensued and officers were able to apprehend Araujo. Araujo was arrested on the warrant and resisting arrest.
James Isham (39 years old) was detained for taking a patron's bag. A records check revealed Isham had a $25,000 outstanding warrant. He was transported and booked into Glenn Dyer Jail.
Nathan Mayers was detained for fare evasion. Mayers became uncooperative and walked away from officers, who were able to take control of him. It was discovered that Mayers was in violation of a court order which prohibited him from being within 100 yards of all BART locations. Mayers was arrested and transported to the county jail.
An officer on-viewed drugs in Jorge Alfredo's (36 years old) sweatshirt pocket. Alfredo (36 years old) was detained. A subsequent search led the officer to find crack, heroin and methamphetamine on his person. Alfredo was arrested and booked for possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics for sale.
Yaiszu Morikawa (49 years old, Sacramento) attempted to strike a patron. Officers contacted him and he was arrested for violation of a court order which prohibits his presence on BART property. The victim declined to press charges. Morikawa was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
At 2120 hours, BART Police, Fire and medical personnel responded to the Hayward station regarding an unresponsive adult male. A short time later, medical personnel declared the male deceased. No foul play is suspected at this time. Notifications were made and The Alameda County Coroner responded and took custody of the deceased.
Officers detained a male (Ahmad SHAIRZAI, 43, San Lorenzo) for behaving suspiciously. Record checks showed that Shairzai had an active stay-away order from all BART stations. Shairzai was arrested for violation of a court order and violation of his probation, and he was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Officers detained a male (Aymen MAGALEH, 20, Oakland) for fare evasion. Record checks showed that Magaleh had multiple prior contacts for the same violation, as well as stay-away orders from many BART stations. Magaleh was ultimately booked at Glenn Dyer Jail for misdemeanor fare evasion and probation violation.
A male suspect (Roy THOMAS, 66, Oakland) made verbal threats to the on-duty station agent. Responding officers detained Thomas and ultimately arrested him for making criminal threats. Due to pre-existing medical issues, Thomas was issued a citation for the violation, and he was transported to SF General Hospital for treatment. Thomas was issued a prohibition order.
Officers attempted to detain a male suspect for investigation of possible domestic violence. The male (Adrian SMITH, 24, Antioch) was uncooperative and had to be physically restrained. Officer determined that the domestic violence report was unfounded, but Smith was booked at the SF County Jail for resisting arrest.
Officers responded for a report of a domestic battery that occurred. Officers located the involved suspect, victim, and witnesses. Officers arrested the suspect for domestic battery, but because of an unrelated health condition, the suspect was transported to the Highland Hospital and to be booked once cleared.
