A victim reported his $290 black and silver Critical Cycles bicycle was stolen while it was both cable and U locked at the bike racks in the free area of the station between 0815 hours on 11/10/17 to 1700 hours on 11/12/17.
A BART employee reported a burglary of two BART maintenance vehicles that were parked at the Oakland Shops. The burglary occurred between 1600 hours on 11/11/17 and 0645 hours on 11/12/17. An unknown suspect made entry into the toolboxes located on beds of the two Ford F-350 trucks and removed several tools.
Officers stopped a driver (Michael Moura, 50 years, Berkeley) for multiple traffic violations. During thee traffic stop, it was discovered Moura was driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. Moura was booked into jail for DUI and a probation violation.
Officers responded to the Orinda Station for a report of a male (Patrick Masai, 41 years, Oakland) threatening patrons aboard a Bay Point bound train. Officers located Masai at the Orinda Station and he attempted to walk away from the officers. Masai began to physically struggle with the officers and battered one officer. Force was used to stop Masai's resistance and to take him into custody. Masai was booked into jail and received a prohibition order.
Terry Horton (49 years old, Oakland) was contacted for suspicious activity. Horton was arrested for a probation violation (stay away from all BART Stations) and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
2100 hours BART Police and El Cerrito Police conducted focused enforcement of the Del Norte Station and the neighborhoods surrounding the station. BART Police conducted enforcement for: 43 fare evasion contacts, 30 citations, six field interviews, four juvenile contacts, two arrests, one located missing person and one traffic stop. Patrons reported a male punching female on train. Officers responded and arrested both parties (Olivia Vialau, 23, San Francisco and Zachariah Rumbold, 26, San Francisco) for domestic battery.
Erykah King (19 years old, Hayward) battered her boyfriend on the platform at the 19th Street Station. King was arrested for domestic battery. King was issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
Jerome Hay (50 years old, San Francisco) was observed masturbating on the platform at the 12th Street Station. Hay, who was under the influence of drugs, was placed arrested for the offense. Hay, who was in possession of a pipe used to ingest drugs, briefly resisted the arresting officer. Hay was issued a Prohibition Order and arrested for performing a lewd act in public, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, a probation violation and being under the influence of drugs. Hay was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station to investigate a report of three male juveniles burglarizing a Honda in the parking lot. It appears that two of the three suspects entered a black Honda CRV by defeating the door lock, while the third suspect attempted to enter a silver Honda CRV. After a brief foot pursuit, all the suspects were detained and positively identified. The loss is unknown at this time. The suspects were arrested for auto burglary, conspiracy and resisting arrest. The suspects were issued Notices to Appear and released to their parents/guardians.
Donna Kendricks (55 years old, Oakland) was detained for causing a disturbance at the Ashby Flea Market. It was determined that Kendricks was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Kendricks spat on one of the arresting officers. Kendricks was arrested for public intoxication and battery on a peace officer. Kendricks was issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
At 2054 hours, Pittsburg Police arrested a juvenile suspect who was driving the carjacked vehicle. The suspect was arrested after crashing the car and attempting to flee from the scene. Detectives were notified and the vehicle was towed and stored. Investigation pending.
