A male (James Johnson, 41 years, Pittsburg) urinated inside the Millbrae Station and then attempted to fare evade. The station agent stopped Johnson and he brandished a weapon as he threatened the agent. Johnson fled but was detained near the station. Johnson was booked into jail and was issued a prohibition order.
A patron reported that a male suspect (Black male in a wheel chair) brandished a firearm and threatened him after a verbal altercation. Officers responded to the scene and located the suspect Keith Albert (25 years old, San Francisco). He was identified by the victim and placed under arrest for brandishing a firearm and making terrorist threats. Albert, who is a convicted felon was in possession of a stolen, loaded firearm as well as a large quantity of narcotics and a large sum of cash. Albert was issued a Prohibition Order and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for several weapons violations, making terrorist threats and possession of narcotics for sale.
Officers responded to the Lafayette Station for a report of a male (Jalen Garrison, 23 years, Sacramento) threatening patrons with a knife, spitting on patrons and making terrorist threats on a Pleasant Hill bound train that was stopped at the Lafayette Station. Garrison was located but refused to comply with an officer's orders. Force was used to restrain Garrison and place him into handcuffs. Garrison was identified by several victims. Garrison was issued a Prohibition Order and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for brandishing a weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and battery.
Four female victims were on the platform at the Richmond Station when they were approached by a male suspect who made sexual advances towards them. The victims refused his advances and the suspect brandished a knife and made threats to harm them. The suspect was located and identified at the Embarcadero Station. The suspect was arrested for brandishing a weapon and making criminal threats. There were no injuries.
Two suspects attempted to rob a female victim of her cell phone in the east parking lot. The suspects brandished a BB gun and attempted to take the phone. The victim was knocked down, but retained possession of her phone. The suspects fled into the surrounding area and were not located.
A BART passenger reported a man on a train who was vandalizing seat cushions by cutting them with a knife and who was also brandishing the knife in a threatening manner. The suspect fled from the train at 19th Street station and was not located by officers who searched the area. There were no injuries and minor damage to a seat on a single train car.
A BART system service worker reported that a male suspect brandished a knife at him and went back up to the platform. The suspect was located by officers and a sergeant, detained at gunpoint and taken into custody without incident. The folding knife was also recovered. The victim identified him as the responsible person and placed him under citizen's arrest for brandishing a weapon. A lieutenant responded to conduct a use of force investigation. The suspect was issued a prohibition order before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for brandishing a weapon. BART Central was notified of the incident. TSOC was notified.
A female victim reported that as she walked to her car in the parking structure, two male juveniles approached her, pointed a silver handgun at her, and demanded her belongings. The victim told them that she did not have anything and started to get into her car. One suspect handed the gun to the other suspect and the second suspect pointed the gun at her again. The victim got into her car and the juveniles walked away without any of her property. The victim, who was not injured, called to make the report. An officer at the station located the two juveniles near the station entrance and detained them at gunpoint. After additional officers arrived, the juveniles were handcuffed and one was found to be in possession of a replica firearm. The victim identified them as the two who tried to rob her. The juveniles were issued prohibition orders and booked into juvenile hall for attempted robbery.
A station agent reported a male brandished a knife and threatened him at the Concord Station. An officer responded but the suspect fled into the neighborhood and eluded the officer. A short time later, the suspect returned to the station and the officer attempted to detain him, but he began fighting the officer. Additional officers responded and force was used to take the suspect into custody. The suspect was medically cleared and was booked into jail.
The on-duty station agent contacted a male suspect who appeared to be attempting to tamper with a ticket vendor, using a pair of scissors. The male attempted to slash at the agent with the scissors, before fleeing the station toward Hallidie Plaza. The agent was not injured. Officers responded, but could not locate the suspect in the area.
Officers intercepted a train that was held at the Lake Merritt Station for a report of a male attempting to stab two victims. Officers located the suspect and detained him. After making suicidal statements, the suspect was placed on an emergency psychological detention, with criminal charges pending. A prohibition order was issued to the suspect.
Patrons reported a male was spitting on people and brandished a weapon on a Richmond bound train. Officers responded and detained the male. No one came forward to lodge a complaint for battery or brandishing a weapon. The male was booked for public intoxication.
Officers responded to the 19th Street station in regards to a dispatched call from an anonymous patron stating a male was being threatened by a female holding and waving a knife. Responding officers located the victim, and suspect on platform 1/3. The parties were engaged in an argument and the suspect was holding a 3.5 inch knife in her hand in the open position with the blade exposed. Officers took the suspect into custody at gunpoint and recovered the knife. Subsequently The suspect was issued a citation for 417(a)(1)P.C., given a prohibition order and taken to John George for psychiatric treatment. An officer took the report and a sergeant responded to conduct a use of force investigation.
A victim called 911 to report that a male suspect had just hit him in the back of the head and then brandished a knife. The subjects had been involved in a verbal argument over the victim's loud music. The victim chased the suspect out of the station and through the city streets where responding officers made contact. The suspect was placed under arrest for both the battery and the brandishing of the knife. The victim was treated at the scene for a bump on his head and released. The suspect was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail. TSOC was notified.
Officers contacted a female who was sleeping in the station. Once awakened, the female brandished a broken golf club at the officers. They were able to take the golf club from her and attempted to take her into custody. She resisted the arrest and had to be physically restrained. Once in custody, she was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and a pipe. She was not injured, but medically cleared by paramedics before being booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the listed charges.
Patrons reported two males involved in a disturbance on a Fremont bound train. The suspect was described as a black male, 22-26 years old, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, with tattoos on the front of his neck. The suspect, who was armed with a knife, slashed at the victim, cutting his shirt. The victim escaped injury. The suspect fled and responding officers were unable to locate him in the area. TSOC notified.
Passengers aboard a Pittsburg bound train reported a black male suspect brandishing a knife in a threatening manner. Officers responded and detained the suspect; he was found to be in possession of a folding knife and under the influence of alcohol. Three victims came forward and placed the suspect under citizen’s arrest for brandishing the knife in a threatening manner. A subsequent warrants’ check of the suspect revealed an outstanding $5K public intoxication warrant, held by BART Police, for his arrest. Officers placed the suspect under arrest for brandishing the knife, public intoxication and the outstanding warrant; he was also issued a prohibition order. The suspect was then booked into the county jail TSOC notified.
A citizen flagged an officer down on city streets and reported that white male was walking around the parking lot of a nearby Safeway store with a large knife in his hand. Officers checked the area and located a man matching the description walking toward the BART station bus zone. Officers detained the man and found that he had a large steak knife concealed in his waistband. Record checks also showed that he was on probation for burglary, out of Contra Costa County. Concord PD had no reports of any other crimes associated with the male suspect. Officers arrested the man for possession of a dirk/dagger. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for possession of a dirk and probation violation.
Patrons reported a male who was striking posters (ads) in the station with a hammer. A CSO was able to locate the male on video and saw him vandalizing the posters. Two Critical Asset Patrol Sergeants located the male and saw him brandishing what turned out to be a medium sized garden tool. He was taken into custody without incident. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, so he was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for vandalism, brandishing a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A witness reported that a male patron was making threats to the station agent, after becoming enraged that there were no more northbound trains for the night. The suspect was described as a white male 20-30 years old, wearing a camouflage fishing hat. A witness reported that the suspect was holding a knife, out of the agent's view, when making the threats. Officers located the man at a gas station across the street and the agent made a positive identification. The man was arrested for making criminal threats, but officers determined that he was in need of psychiatric care. He was transported by ambulance to San Leandro Hospital for evaluation, with a criminal hold.
Patrons on board the Millbrae bound train reported that a male suspect was on board acting erratically, holding a large knife. The suspect was described as a white male in his 40's, with a buzz haircut, wearing a gray jacket with silver stripes on the sleeves. The suspect off-boarded at Orinda Station. Officers, along with Orinda PD responded and detained the man on the platform. No complainants came forward, but officers determined that the man was intoxicated in public. A kitchen knife was found on top of a fire cabinet near the suspect. The man was arrested for public intoxication and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Pittsburg PD reported that they had a suspect in custody for a robbery that occurred at the Bliss Avenue Park & Ride, about 1630 hours. Officers responded and learned that a male victim had been working on his car in the lot, when a suspect approached him and demanded his flashlight, while brandishing a large metal fence post as a weapon. The victim gave the suspect his flashlight, but the suspect picked up the victim's screwdriver and attempted to stab the victim. The victim evaded the blow and fled, eventually gaining safety in his car. The victim drove off, with the suspect chasing him on foot. Pittsburg PD detained the suspect at a nearby fast food restaurant and notified BART PD. The victim was not injured. The suspect was arrested for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He was issued a prohibition order and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. TSOC notified.
A victim reported he was in a verbal altercation with another male at the station, when the male brandished a knife and threatened to harm him. The suspect was reported to be accompanied by another male who was also armed with a knife. The two suspects attempted to flee the station, via train. Trains were held out until officers arrived. Once sufficient officers arrived at the station, officers searched the platform and located the primary suspect. The male was detained and positively identified by the victim. The knife was not located and the second alleged suspect was determined not to be involved. Train service was delayed. The male was placed under arrest for brandishing a weapon, delaying a transit system and was issued a prohibition order. The male was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
A BART station agent reported a verbal altercation that was escalating between two male subjects. One of the suspects reportedly was holding a pair of scissors. The officers attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect ran and subsequently physically resisted. The officers were able to eventually arrest the suspect. The suspect continued to resist so he was placed in the WRAP. Two victims positively identified the suspect and stated that the suspect threatened to kill them while holding the scissors in a threatening manner. The suspect was taken to the hospital and is to be booked into the SF Jail for resisting arrest, brandishing a weapon, and criminal threats once cleared. A sergeant responded to conduct a use of force investigation. The suspect was additionally issued a prohibition order.
