A victim reported the theft of his grey and orange Shimano 18-speed bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a chain and lock at 0830 hours and when the victim returned at 2030 hours, the bike was gone.
Officers detained a suspect for removing a tire and attempting to cut a lock off bicycles which were secured to the racks at the station. The suspect was found to be in possession of burglary tools and was in violation of his probation for theft. The suspect was arrested and booked for theft, possession of burglary tools and violation of probation.
A victim reported that his blue bike (unknown brand) was taken from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a chain lock and when the victim returned, the bike and chain were gone. Upon seeing the victim making the report, a witness reported that a male suspect (BM, 5'7", 35 years, long tan coat, green tank top) took the bike at about 2012 hours. Station video will be requested.
Officer took a report from a victim who reported the theft of his bicycle. The victim stated he locked his bicycle, a Yuba Mono bicycle, using a cable lock to the bicycle racks at the station at approximately 0815 hours. The victim returned to find his bicycle stolen at approximately 1800 hours. The bicycle was valued at $1300.
Officer was flagged down by a victim who reported his bicycle to be stolen from the bicycle racks inside the paid area of the station. The victim secured his bicycle, a black men’s 18-speed Kona mountain bike, to the racks using a cable lock on 2/22/2017 at approximately 0730 hours and returned on 2/23/2017 at approximately 1830 hours to find his bicycle to be stolen. The victim was unable to provide a serial number for the bicycle and valued it at $450.
A victim reported the theft of her Specialized Vita Base Disc road bike from the 24th Street Station, between 0820-1900 hours. The bike was secured with a U-Lock to the bike racks inside the paid area of the station.
A victim reported her men's Iron Horse Maverick mountain bike was stolen from the Ashby Station. The victim left the bike on the concourse level, unsecured while she spoke to people on the train platform. When she returned, her bike was gone.
A victim reported the theft of his dark grey Giant Boulder SE bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock at 0800 hours and when he returned at 1949 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
A victim reported the theft of her black 27-speed Soma Crosscheck road bike. The bike was secured with a cable and U-lock at 0850 hours and when the victim returned at 2157 hours, the bike and locks were gone.
The victim reported the theft of their silver-colored Critical brand bicycle, valued $100.00, while it was cable locked at the station between 0700 and 1320 hours. A community service officer responded to take the report.
A victim called to report that his black Specialized bike was taken from one of the bike lockers between 1030-1830 hours. There was no sign of any damage to the locker, so it is unknown how the bike was taken.
A victim reported the theft of their Surly single speed from inside a bike locker at the Lake Merritt Station. The victim lost his wallet that contained the bike locker key card between 2/1 and 2/2/17. No damage to bike locker.
A manager reported the bike structure at the Ashby Station was burglarized and three bikes were stolen. One victim came forward to report his Citizen foldable bike was stolen from the structure. An officer completed a report.
