Three auto burglaries were reported at the Richmond Station in the parking garage. All three incidents occurred between 1700 hours on 8/2/17 and 0400 hours on 8/3/17. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window of a 1998 Honda Civic and stole a Fastrak transponder and a car stereo remote control. The suspect also smashed the left front window of a 2003 Mercedes E500 and stole the vehicle's registration, insurance card and a roll of toilet paper. The victim’s 04 Honda Civic was burglarized between the hours of 0720-1630 while parked on the top level of the parking structure in stall #742. Loss was a black Pioneer stereo. The vehicle was processed for evidence with negative results.
The victim’s 16’ Chevy Silverado truck was burglarized between the hours of 1530 on 7/30 and 0815 hours, today’s date. The victim stated the interior of the vehicle had been rummaged through with $20 in cash and a black Samsung phone charger missing.
A patron reported that their 2007 Nissan Altima was burglarized while parked in stall #109, between 7/23/17 at 1700 hours, to today at 1930 hours. An unknown suspect broke the sunroof to gain entry and ransacked the interior. The owner could not identify any loss.
Two auto burglaries were reported in the south lot. Both occurred between 1000-2200 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the left rear window of a 2016 Toyota Prius and stole a laptop computer. The suspect also smashed the right rear window of a 2015 Audi A4, and ransacked the interior.
A witness reported observing two suspects burglarizing a '04 BMW 320 which was parked in the parking lot near space #298. Entry was made by smashing the rear passenger-side window and the loss was an automotive emergency kit which was left on a seat in plain view. The suspects were described at 2 black males, 16-17 years old carrying a backpack. The suspects were not located. Officers were contacted by a second victim who had parked a '15 Honda CR-V in space #298 between 13:15 and 17:00. An unknown suspect entered a '97 Mazda Miata which was parked, locked and secure, in the surface parking lot next to the bus zone from 05:15 to 15:00. The loss was miscellaneous tools and the car stereo.
A victim reported they found their 2002 Honda Accord unlocked and their stereo missing while parked at the Castro Valley Station, between 0820-1910 hours. Its suspected the suspect used a key to enter the Honda.
A victim reported a suspect entered their 2000 Acura Integra and attempted to steal the car while parked at the North Concord Station, between 0545-1623 hours. The steering wheel column sustained damage and the vehicle's battery was stolen.
Three additional burglarized vehicles (2010 Cadillac Escalade, 2010 Audi A5, and a 2017 BMW 540i) were located at the Orinda Station. The burglaries occurred between 0630-1700 hours. The windows were smashed and the interiors were searched.
A victim reported their 2017 Toyota Highlander was burglarized while parked at the Orinda Station, between 0730-1500 hours. The front passenger window was smashed and the interior was searched but no reported loss.
Telephone report taken from victim who reported their vehicle burglarized while it was parked at the San Leandro Station. The vehicle was locked when it was parked and found unsecured upon the victim's return. The vehicle was entered by unknown means and loss was the car stereo.
A victim reported that they parked and locked their vehicle (1985 Honda Civic) in the parking lot on 7/24/17, at about 0830 hours. They returned on 7/24/17 at about 2030 hours to find their had been burglarized.
A patron reported that his gray 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup was burglarized while parked on the second level of the structure, between 0730-1915 hours. An unknown suspect gained entry by forcing the rear sliding window, and stole $6 in spare change.
