A male (Jesus Macielgil, 24 years, Oakland) was contacted after reportedly looking into parked vehicles. He was found to be in possession of burglary tools, narcotics and drug paraphernalia. He admitted to burglarizing a vehicle in the lot. He was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the listed charges.
Officers responded to the MacArthur Station for a report of a male (Andrew Friedman, 27 years, Oakland) trying door handles. Officers detained Friedman and determined he had broken into several vehicles. ID Techs, Detectives and additional officers responded to assist. Friedman was booked into jail for burglary.
Four auto burglaries were reported in the parking structure at the MacArthur Station, between 0900 hours on 12/2/17 and 0800 hours on 12/3/17. An unknown suspect smashed the windows to gain entry and removed items from the vehicles. 1712-0110,
A victim reported a burglary of their 2007 328i 4dr while it was parked in the parking lot. The burglary occurred on 11/27/17 between 0745-2315 hours. Entry was made via a forced left rear door open. The loss was an $800 pair of glasses.
A victim reported a burglary of their 2017 Toyota Corolla while it was parked in the parking lot. The burglary occurred on 11/27/17 between 0530 - 1711 hours. Entry was made via a front passenger window smash. The loss was about $25 in US currency.
A patron reported a suspect had smashed a Zip car's window, was inside and attempting to start the vehicle. BART Officers, along with Berkeley Police responded. Thomas Hartsaso (21 years old, Santa Cruz) was arrested for vehicle burglary. He will be transported to County Jail.
A BART employee reported a burglary of two BART maintenance vehicles that were parked at the Oakland Shops. The burglary occurred between 1600 hours on 11/11/17 and 0645 hours on 11/12/17. An unknown suspect made entry into the toolboxes located on beds of the two Ford F-350 trucks and removed several tools.
Officers responded to the San Leandro Station to investigate a report of three male juveniles burglarizing a Honda in the parking lot. It appears that two of the three suspects entered a black Honda CRV by defeating the door lock, while the third suspect attempted to enter a silver Honda CRV. After a brief foot pursuit, all the suspects were detained and positively identified. The loss is unknown at this time. The suspects were arrested for auto burglary, conspiracy and resisting arrest. The suspects were issued Notices to Appear and released to their parents/guardians.
Officers responded to the Fruitvale BART Station regarding a male breaking into vehicles. Officers contacted a male juvenile who admitted to attempting to steal four vehicles in the parking lot. The juvenile will be transported to Juvenile Hall.

A victim reported a burglary of their 1998 Honda Accord while it was parked in the parking structure at the Hayward Station. The burglary occurred on 9/25/17 between 0830 hours and 2020 hours. Entry was made via a driver's window smash. There was no loss.
A patron reported that their 2006 BMW sedan was burglarized while parked on the 4th floor of the garage, between 0800-2130 hours. An unknown suspect smashed both side windows to gain entry and stole a pair of sunglasses.
An officer on patrol saw a vehicle slowly driving through the parking lot of the Pittsburg Station. A male (Lucas Dunning, 24 years, Pittsburg) exited the vehicle, disappeared between two parked cars and returned to the vehicle with an object in his hands. The officer made an investigative traffic stop on the vehicle and discovered Dunning possessed property taken from the parked car. Dunning was placed under arrest for possession of stolen property. Follow-up revealed Dunning burglarized the parked car. Dunning was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
