Officers responded to a report of four females engaged in a fist fight in front of the station. The investigation revealed that one of the parties was assaulted by the other three, who were later detained. Disposition pending at this time.
An officer responding to a fare evasion report located the suspect about a block away from the station. When he was contacted, the suspect shoved the officer in the chest and tried to escape. The officer attempted to apprehend him, wrestling the violently resisting suspect to the ground several times in the street, but was unable to secure him. Citizens finally assisted the officer and the suspect was taken into custody. He was booked on the battery as well as drug possession.
Officers responded to the Coliseum station when witnesses reported that an adult male was beating an adult female on the platform. Officers arrested the suspect for battery on a co-habitant. The victim sustained facial lacerations and swelling. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
An enraged Ashby Flea Market vendor brandished a large knife at a juvenile who may have tried stealing an item from the vendor. An adult female associate of the juvenile pulled the suspect away from the juvenile. The suspect slashed the woman's hand causing a laceration which necessitated suturing. The incident was not initially reported, and the suspect was GOA/UTL. An investigation is on-going.
An adult male victim was assaulted by two adult male suspects at Fruitvale station. The suspects punched the victim while trying to take his cellphone. The suspects fled into the neighborhood. An area search proved negative.
A station agent was struck with a bicycle after she confronted a subject who violated the bicycle rules. The agent suffered no injuries. The suspect boarded a train and fled at Glen Park Station.
A female was punched in the face by a male acquaintance when their argument over a cell phone escalated to violence. He fled the area, but was quickly located by responding officers and arrested. A passenger used a cellphone to report a male beating a female on board a train. The suspect was apprehended at the station and later determined to be an ex-boyfriend who had a stay-away order commanding him to stay away from the victim. The suspect was taken into custody and booked for battery and violation of a stay-away order.
A 19 yr. old male was beaten and stabbed in what appears to be a gang-related incident. The victim was followed from the parking lot to the bus stop by three males aging from 16 to 18 yrs. old. The three suspects shouted out their gang affiliation and assaulted the victim at the bus stop. The victim was beaten and stabbed in the back. The victim, who acknowledged that he too is a gang member, sustained multiple stab wounds, a punctured lung and head wounds, none of which were life-threatening. The suspects remain outstanding.
While closing the Richmond Station an intoxicated adult male patron shoved a BART Police Officer from behind into another BART Police Officer. After the suspect was taken into custody, he made several death threats to the officer. The suspect was booked for the battery, threats, and public intoxication. 0605-0931, S-26
Officers responded to a report of a man beating his two year old daughter in the women's restroom. Outraged patrons watched as the man dragged his daughter down the street and at one point bit the child on her arm. The father was taken into custody and the child turned over to juvenile protective services.
