Officers responded to a report of a woman shot at the station. Officers arriving at the scene located a shooting victim in the bus zone. The victim was shot once in the leg. It was later determined that the shooting occurred across the street from the station on 7th St. Witnesses described a yellow Volvo occupied by two males as possibly involved. The motive is not known and the case was turned over to the Oakland Police.
An adult female was held for psychiatric evaluation after she called 911 and told a dispatcher that she was hearing voices telling her to kill someone. The caller also stated that she had a knife in her possession. The subject was taken into custody without incident.
A 15 year old male suspect snatched a BART ticket from a patron's hand and fled. The patron was able to capture and hold the suspect until an officer arrived. The suspect had an outstanding no-bail vandalism warrant and was booked at Juvenile Hall.

An adult male entered onto the trackway from the West Oakland station platform. Train service was held while officers attempted to stop the suspect as he walked toward downtown Oakland. The suspect was located about a quarter mile from the station. Patrons on a San Francisco bound train approaching West Oakland station reported an adult male being attacked by another man. Officers responded to the station and arrested the suspect. The attack was determined to be unprovoked. The victim suffered facial lacerations. The suspect was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail. 0612-0638 L21.
Officers responded to a report of a beating victim at the station. It was determined that the incident was actually a robbery that occurred just off of Chester St. near the station. The victim was beaten and relieved of his wallet by the suspects, described as two juveniles, 12-14 yrs. of age. One acted as he were armed with a gun. The case was turned over to the Oakland Police.
The victim of a strongarm robbery fled to the agent's booth after was knocked to the ground and had her purse stolen by an adult male in his early teens. The suspect possibly fled in a black two door vehicle towards 5th St. The offense took place just outside of the station in Oakland PD's jurisdiction.
The Highway Patrol requested the use of a BPD K9 to search for an auto theft suspect that fled from a stolen auto he abandoned in front of 1919 Croxton St. in Oakland. A search was conducted in a crawl space beneath the home without success.
A welfare check was made on a 44-year-old man who was reportedly passed out with his pants down near the bicycle racks. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail after he was found to have an outstanding $20,000 felony-narcotics warrant out of Oakland and two misdemeanor warrants.
A 24-year-old woman was detained for psychiatric evaluation after climbing out from beneath a Millbrae-bound train that had run over her. The woman had left a suicide note prior to jumping in front of the train. She suffered no apparent injuries, but was to be examined at Highland Hospital, before being transferred to the John George Psychiatric Pavilion.
A woman walking through the parking lot had her purse forcibly taken from her by two described as being in their late teens to early twenties. One suspect wore his hair in dreadlocks. Both suspects fled in an older grey sedan.
A male adult suspect threatened to rob a citizen near the MacArthur BART Station by simulating a handgun. The suspect fled and was taken into custody by a BART officer after the use of his baton and OC. The suspect was turned-over to Oakland PD. 0608-1345, L10.
An officer observing a suspicious occupied vehicle determined it to be stolen after running the plate. The driver of the stolen auto abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot as the officer was attempting to affect a traffic stop. A perimeter was set up with the aid of the Oakland Police with negative results.
SFPD requested assistance regarding an attempted residential burglary suspect who had threatened witnesses with a gun and was last seen running onto an east-bound train at Embarcadero station. Officers searched the train and West Oakland station, and located the suspect who was positively identified by the witnesses. Suspect was turned over to SFPD.
Near Fruitvale Station, a citizen notified officers of a male beating a female. When officers approached the pair, the male ran, but was apprehended. The male is the biological father of the woman's child. The woman had been battered, but her injuries were not serious. The male was arrested and booked.
In what was originally reported as having occurred in Oakland PD's jurisdiction, the proprietor of the liquor store across the street from the station had his wallet ripped from his pants by a gang of youths. The victim had come to the aid of another citizen who was being harassed by the suspects. The offense occurred on property in the parking lot. The wallet was later recovered minus a small amount of cash.
Patrons reported an adult male threatening and freightening passengers on board a Dublin-Pleasanton bound train approaching West Oakland Station. Responding officers off-boarded the subject and determined that he was in need of psychiatric evaluation.
Officers responded to a report of a man beating his two year old daughter in the women's restroom. Outraged patrons watched as the man dragged his daughter down the street and at one point bit the child on her arm. The father was taken into custody and the child turned over to juvenile protective services.
A passenger was struck in the face while on board a Daly City bound train approaching West Oakland Station. The suspect, described as an adult male, 18-22 yrs. of age, off-boarded at West Oakland Station and was able to leave the area prior to the arrival of responding officers.
Frightened patrons aboard a Pittsburg bound train reported a suspect on-board brandishing a large knife. Officers arrived, recovered a large butcher knife, and placed the combative suspect in custody. The suspect was committed for evaluation.
