While an officer was on an unrelated call for service, he was flagged down by a patron regarding an intoxicated male aboard the San Francisco train which was holding at the station. The officer located the suspect, who was described as a White male, wearing a green sweatshirt, scrub pants, no shoes, and looking "sickly." The officer off-boarded the suspect who smelled of an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of intoxication. The officer determined the suspect was unable to care for himself due to his level of intoxication and placed him under arrest. A records check revealed that he was on probation for public intoxication, held by BART PD. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the above listed charges.
Critical Asset Patrol Officers contacted an adult male for fare evasion. The male ran from the officers, but was located a short distance away from the station. He was taken into custody without incident. The male was issued a citation for fare evasion and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for resisting/delaying an officer.
A female victim reported that the father of her child pushed her to the ground during a custody exchange at the station. The victim was not injured during the assault, but the male was given a prohibition order before being booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the domestic violence charge. The victim declined an emergency protective order.
An officer watched an adult male and female walk across the tracks from one platform to another. He contacted the two and attempted to identify both. The female provided false identifying information and was intoxicated, so she was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for interfering with a rail operation, public intoxication and providing false identifying information. The male was identified and found to have a no bail warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the warrant.
Officers responded to a report of a male and female fighting in the parking lot of the West Oakland Station. Officers arrived, detained the two suspects and determined the two were in a dating relationship. A records check showed the male had a no bail arrest warrant issued by Alameda county. The male and female were placed under arrest for domestic battery and were transported to jail. Both received a prohibition order.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a male subject who slapped a female, witnessed by the station agent. The officers arrived and detained the parties and discovered they were married. The male subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for misdemeanor domestic battery and issued a prohibition order based on the station agent’s statement.
Officers responded to multiple reports of a subject who was creating a disturbance on the train, yelling and challenging other people to fight. Officers detained the suspect and determined that he was the subject of a court order prohibiting him from being at BART, was wanted for a $25,000 warrant for battery and making threats, and was intoxicated and unable to care for his own safety. The suspect was arrested and booked for violating the court order, for the arrest warrant and for being intoxicated in public.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a male and female in the parking lot. Dispatchers were able to locate the incident on camera and saw the female striking the male. When officers arrived, they separated the two and determined that they are living together and were in a dispute about their relationship. The female admitted to getting physical with the male, but the male, who was not injured, was uncooperative and declined a temporary restraining order or any other police assistance. The female was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for domestic violence.
An officer was conducting a welfare check on an individual when a patron pointed out another male and said that he had tried to take a female victim's phone. The victim still had her phone and did not want police assistance or to make a report, but the officer contacted the male suspect and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for narcotics violations and was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The male was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
Officers were dispatched to the station for a report of a male and female involved in a physical altercation in front of the station. The male had asked his girlfriend for money but she refused, so he grabbed her purse attempting to take her money. He was unsuccessful in taking the purse, but during the struggle the male hit the female in the face with the purse strap. The suspect left the area on a bicycle without further incident. The victim was treated and released at the scene by medical personnel. The officers conducted an area search with negative results. The case will be forwarded to detectives for follow-up.
A mother reported that her son was due at the station and that he had felony warrant issued from the Oakland PD. Officers located the suspect in question and took him into custody. The suspect had an active felony $310k warrant charging domestic battery, criminal threats, and assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect was turned over to the Oakland PD.
