Officers were dispatched to a report of a male subject who slapped a female, witnessed by the station agent. The officers arrived and detained the parties and discovered they were married. The male subject was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for misdemeanor domestic battery and issued a prohibition order based on the station agent’s statement.
Officers responded to multiple reports of a subject who was creating a disturbance on the train, yelling and challenging other people to fight. Officers detained the suspect and determined that he was the subject of a court order prohibiting him from being at BART, was wanted for a $25,000 warrant for battery and making threats, and was intoxicated and unable to care for his own safety. The suspect was arrested and booked for violating the court order, for the arrest warrant and for being intoxicated in public.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a male and female in the parking lot. Dispatchers were able to locate the incident on camera and saw the female striking the male. When officers arrived, they separated the two and determined that they are living together and were in a dispute about their relationship. The female admitted to getting physical with the male, but the male, who was not injured, was uncooperative and declined a temporary restraining order or any other police assistance. The female was issued a prohibition order and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for domestic violence.
An officer was conducting a welfare check on an individual when a patron pointed out another male and said that he had tried to take a female victim's phone. The victim still had her phone and did not want police assistance or to make a report, but the officer contacted the male suspect and discovered that he had a $10,000 warrant for narcotics violations and was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The male was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
Officers were dispatched to the station for a report of a male and female involved in a physical altercation in front of the station. The male had asked his girlfriend for money but she refused, so he grabbed her purse attempting to take her money. He was unsuccessful in taking the purse, but during the struggle the male hit the female in the face with the purse strap. The suspect left the area on a bicycle without further incident. The victim was treated and released at the scene by medical personnel. The officers conducted an area search with negative results. The case will be forwarded to detectives for follow-up.
A mother reported that her son was due at the station and that he had felony warrant issued from the Oakland PD. Officers located the suspect in question and took him into custody. The suspect had an active felony $310k warrant charging domestic battery, criminal threats, and assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect was turned over to the Oakland PD.
Two males were robbed at gun point of their belongings after they got off the Mega Bus at the station. The suspects fled in a white Camaro with the victim's back packs that contained $2K, and an Apple laptop computer. The victim's were not injured.
A patron placed a bicycle in locker #16 on 6/13/16 at 10:00 and returned at 18:40 to find the locker empty. There was no sign of forced entry and the patron is unsure if the locker was properly secured.
An officer detained a male for fare evasion at the West Oakland Station. During the contact the officer determined the male was under the influence of alcohol and was unable to care for himself. The male was cited for fare evasion and was booked for public intoxication at the Glenn Dyer Jail.
Patrons reported a male was spitting on people and creating a disturbance on a Richmond bound trains. When the train arrived at the West Oakland Station, patrons held the man down on the platform to prevent him from fleeing before officers arrived. Officers arrived and detained the male. A records check showed the male had two arrest warrants totaling 15K. The male was transported to the hospital where medical staff placed him on an emergency psychiatric detention. A police hold was placed on the male and he will be booked when medically cleared.
Officers detained a male for fare evasion at the West Oakland Station. A records check showed the male had two warrants for his arrest. The male was cited for fare evasion and was booked on the warrants at Santa Rita Jail.
Officers intercepted a Fremont bound train for a report of a patron threatening another patron with a weapon. The suspect was off boarded, identified by the victim and was placed under arrest for brandishing a weapon and was issued a prohibition order.
A female suspect, on whom an officer performed a welfare check, was found to have two (2) outstanding felony “no bail” narcotics warrants, held by San Francisco Police, for her arrest. The officer placed the suspect under arrest without incident, and a female sergeant responded to approve the arrest and search the suspect. The search revealed the suspect was in possession of a controlled substance and she was placed under arrest for this violation as well. She was then booked into the county jail for the warrants and narcotics possession.
An officer on a fixed post detail heard approximately 20 shots fired at the store directly across 7th Street from the station. The officer responded and located multiple shell casings and a victim who had been shot in the arm. OPD responded and took over the investigation. BART officers assisted in searching a vacant lot near the area, but the suspect was not located.
