Officers detained two subjects for blocking the aisles on a Pittsburg bound train. Subject #1 was identified and released. Subject #2 was arrested for a warrant and taken to jail. An officer took the report.
Patrons on board the Pittsburg train reported that a black male was cutting his legs with a box cutter. Officers responded and located the man, who was in possession of two knives. The man was detained for psychiatric evaluation after a brief struggle. The man was transported by ambulance to John George Pavilion for evaluation and treatment.
Patrons reported a couple were involved in a heated argument at the West Oakland Station. Officers arrived, detained the couple and a records check showed the male had an warrant for his arrest and had violated a court order. The male was booked into the local jail.

A victim reported the theft of their vehicle while it was parked at the station. The victim parked their vehicle at 2115 hours on 5/13/2017 and returned at 1500 hours on 5/14/2017 to find the vehicle missing.
Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly acting violent aboard a train. The officers determined the suspect was intoxicated, and learned of an outstanding $10K drug warrant for his arrest. The suspect was then placed under arrest for public intoxication and the warrant, but then physically resisted the officers who used force and the WRAP restraint to eventually control him. While preparing to book the suspect into the county jail, jail staff required the suspect’s medical clearance for a pre-existing medical condition. Once medically cleared, the suspect’s booking will be completed. A sergeant responded to perform the use of force investigation.
Officers detained a male suspect for creating a disturbance on a train. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding $10,000 arrest warrant for narcotics violations. The man resisted being arrested, but was taken into custody after a short struggle. He was ultimately booked at Santa Rita Jail after being medically cleared.
A patron reported that their black Trek 8.3 hybrid bike was stolen between 0900-1900 hours. The victim secured the bike with a chain and padlock.
Officers responded to the platform of the West Oakland for a disturbance. A witness reported a male had battered a female. The male was placed under arrest and it was determined they were in a relationship. The male also battered the witness. The male was booked into jail and was issued a prohibition order.
5/9/17. 1720 hours A victim had her backpack taken from her while aboard a San Francisco bound train at West Oakland.
A victim reported the theft of their 1995 Honda Civic from the West Oakland Station, between 0540-1615 hours.
A victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked at the station between 1030-1930 hours. The rear window was smashed to gain entry and a backpack containing makeup and a pink Taser were taken.
A victim reported the theft of their silver 2001 Vespa from the motorcycle parking area. The bike was taken sometime between 1100-1824 hours.
The on-duty station agent called in to report a physical altercation between an Asian female and a Black male in the free area of the station. The agent reported the female was claiming the male juvenile stole her phone while she was on a Millbrae bound train. Officers responded and contacted both parties who had returned to the station agent’s booth. Officers determined the male juvenile had not taken the female’s phone, however he was reportedly with person who had grabbed the phone from victim’s hands. The male juvenile denied knowing the suspect who took the female’s phone, but was found to be in possession of an airsoft gun. The male juvenile detained was later issued a citation for an Oakland municipal code. The female described the phone theft suspect as being a Black male juvenile, approximately 17 years of age, 5’8” tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants. The female stated the suspect was with three to four other juveniles, which included the juvenile who was detained by the officers. Officers were unsuccessful in tracking the phone.
A brown 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche was reported as stolen while parked at the station, stall #196, between 0545 and 1250 hours. An officer took the report.
Officers detained a subject for grand theft of a cell phone from a victim on board a train. Victim positively identified the suspect as the offender. The suspect was in possession of the victim’s phone. The subject was arrested for grand theft and booked at juvenile hall. Video was requested.
A victim reported a male attempted to take his laptop and fled from the train at the West Oakland Station.
A male victim reported that a group of juveniles (4 males, 3 females) took his phone and punched him before running out of the train and out of the station. Responding officers were flagged down by the victim, who pointed out two of the suspects. Both suspects were detained a few blocks from the station and the victim identified them as the males who took his phone and punched him. The phone was not recovered. The victim declined medical attention. The two juvenile suspects (ages 16 and 9 years) were transported back to the Lake Merritt Police Substation. Detectives were notified of the arrest. The 9 year old refused to give a statement and was issued a citation before being released to a parent. The 16 year old was interviewed and then booked into the Alameda County Juvenile Detention Center.
A victim reported the theft of their 1998 Infiniti I30 from the West Oakland Station, between 0600-2145 hours.
A victim reported their bike was stolen from the West Oakland Station between 3/27/17, 1900 hours and 3/28/17, 1620 hours. The bike was secured to the bike rack with a cable lock.
A victim reported the theft of their 2007 GMC van from the West Oakland Station, between 1430-1900 hours.
A male fare evaded. He did not adhere to directions from the officer to stop. The suspect was transported to the Glynn Dyer Jail for resisting the officer.
A victim reported the theft of two bikes that were cable locked to the bike locker today from 0920-1323 hours. Officer Tellez took the report.
A victim reported that his blue bike (unknown brand) was taken from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a chain lock and when the victim returned, the bike and chain were gone. Upon seeing the victim making the report, a witness reported that a male suspect (BM, 5'7", 35 years, long tan coat, green tank top) took the bike at about 2012 hours. Station video will be requested.
Officers responded to West Oakland station to investigate a report of a female on a Daly City train who was brandishing a box cutter in a threatening manner. Officers detained the suspect and determined that the suspect had been involved in a dispute over a seat and had brandished a box cutter in a threatening manner towards the victim. The victim placed the suspect under citizen's arrest and the suspect was cited and issued a prohibition order.
