Officers responded to the West Oakland Station for a report of a male (Jonathon Watson, 27 years, San Francisco) creating a disturbance at the station. Officers determined Watson was too intoxicated to care for himself and was booked into jail.
On 10/9/17 from 0800 to 1000 hours four (4) BART police officers and a sergeant conducted a Focused Enforcement Operation at the West Oakland Station. Ten (10) violators were contacted. Five (5) were issued citations. The officers completed three (3) Field Identifications and made one (1) arrest. The officers also conducted one (1) welfare check. L24
Officers detained a male (Cornell Brown, 33 years, San Francisco) onboard a Pittsburg bound train for indecent exposure. The victim placed Brown under citizen's arrest for indecent exposure and he was booked into jail. Brown was also issued a prohibition order.
A victim reported that two suspects (Black males, 18 years old, black hoodies) attempted to batter him and take his cell phone. The victim defended himself and was able to retain his phone. The suspects fled the scene on foot.
An officer stopped a male (Arage Hayes, 33 years, Oakland) as he fare evaded through the fare gates of the West Oakland Station. A record check showed Hayes had a court order prohibiting him from being on BART. Hayes was cited for fare evasion and was booked for violation of a court order at Glenn Dyer Jail.
A male suspect detained by an officer on suspicion of burglarizing a vehicle was found to have an outstanding $20K narcotics warrant for his arrest; he was also found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and a burglary tool. The suspect was booked into the county jail for the warrant, possessing the paraphernalia and the burglary tool; the auto burglary investigation is pending.
A male detained for reportedly fighting another male was found to be in violation of a court stay away order. He was placed under arrest for the violation and booked into the county jail. No complaint was sought for fighting.
The station agent reported that a male suspect was outside the booth, making verbal threats to harm the agent. Officers responded and detained the man. A search incident to arrest revealed a concealed handgun in the man's backpack. The agent was not injured. The suspect was arrested and booked at Glenn Dyer Jail for public intoxication, criminal threats, false imprisonment and carrying a loaded, concealed firearm. TSOC was notified.
An officer observed a suspect (Tre Eric Thomas, 19 years, Hayward) enter the BART system without using a ticket in violation of the law. The officer attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect resisted the detention and attempted to flee from the officer. The suspect was arrested and booked for resisting arrest.
Multiple people called into BART PD dispatch to report a make subject who had threatened another male with a knife while aboard Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train. Officers working a special detail were on scene when the train arrived at the West Oakland Station. As officers went to contact the suspect, later identified as Jayeddy DAVIS (23 years old, Burlingame, CA), he took off running away and ran into the city streets nearby. Officers were eventually able to detain DAVIS and recover a knife he attempted to discard. It was later determined DAVIS has pushed the knife into the stomach of a victim who did not sustain any injury while aboard the train. Davis was found to be on active probation. DAVIS was booked into Glenn Dyer jail in Oakland and was issued a prohibition order.
The victim reported the theft of his 1982 Turquoise Peugot bike, with orange handle bars, from the hanging bike racks inside the station. The bike was stolen sometime between the hours of 0800 on 8/26 and 0930 today's date. The bike was secured with a cable and lock.
An officer witnessed a male (Tyrell Smallwood, 26 years, Sacramento) fare evade though the fare gates at the West Oakland Station. Smallwood was detained and a records check revealed he had a no bail arrest warrant for a probation violation. Smallwood was cited for fare evasion and was placed under arrest on the warrant.
Officers contacted a subject for fare evasion. The subject provided the officers with false identity to the officers. The subject was later identified as (Stewart, Juan, 30 years old, out of Oakland) and booked into the North County Jail for providing false identity to a peace officer.
A patron reported that his MacBook laptop was snatched from his hand by two suspects, one of whom was in possession of a stun gun. The suspects were described as black males, 15-17 years old. The suspects fled toward 7th and Chester Streets and were not located by responding officers.
Patrons reported a male (Joseph Jones, 36, San Francisco) was creating a disturbance on a Dublin bound train and Jones off-boarded at the West Dublin Station. An officer attempted to stop Jones but he fled and force was used to stop him. Jones was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was in possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Jones was booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail.
The victim was seated on a Daly City bound train when the suspect, described only as a Black male, 18-19 yrs, wearing dark clothing, boarded the train at either Coliseum or the Fruitvale Station, and sat next to her. When the train stopped at the West Oakland Station, the suspect snatched the victim’s iPhone and ran from the train. The victim gave chase and confronted the suspect. When the victim attempted to retrieve her phone, a struggle ensued and the suspect pushed the victim to the ground before fleeing on foot from the station. The victim was not injured. An area check for the suspect was negative.
A witness reported observing two suspects burglarizing a '04 BMW 320 which was parked in the parking lot near space #298. Entry was made by smashing the rear passenger-side window and the loss was an automotive emergency kit which was left on a seat in plain view. The suspects were described at 2 black males, 16-17 years old carrying a backpack. The suspects were not located. Officers were contacted by a second victim who had parked a '15 Honda CR-V in space #298 between 13:15 and 17:00. While the car was parked at the station, an unknown suspect smashed the rear driver-side window and removed a black backpack containing clothing. 1707-1575 /

Officers contacted a male subject who was found to be in possession of a concealed knife. A records check revealed an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. The subject was taken into custody and booked into Glenn Dyer jail.
