A victim reported his yellow 1979 Mercedes 6HYV360 CA. broken into while parked on the third floor in stall #975. This occurred between 1000 and 2055 hours. The entry was made via the driver’s door. Taken were some prescription sunglasses and case. This case is being investigated as part of case 1208-3375. 1208 - 3393 L13
A warrant check on a person detained for acting suspiciously in the structure revealed an outstanding arrest warrant out of Contra Costa County for violation of community supervision. The suspect was placed under arrest on the warrant. Pursuant to the arrest he was found in possession of a controlled substance and ammunition as well as other items. After booking the suspect investigating officers contacted an auto burglary victim and an auto tampering victim at the West Dublin Station (refer to case 1208-3393). The officers showed the auto burglary victim some of the property removed from the suspect. The victim was able to identify some of the property as theirs. Due to the suspect having already been booked they were unable to question him on how he received this property. The other victim reported a window smash but no loss. Officers processed both vehicles and was able to lift some latent prints from both.
A patron reported via telephone the catalytic converter was stolen from her black 2003 Toyota Sequoia while it was parked and locked in the Pleasanton parking structure on 8/14/12 between 0700-2100 hours.
An adult male patron reported the theft of his Schwinn bicycle. He locked his bike with a cable on the racks on the first level of the parking structure about 1030 hours. Upon return about 1720 hours, the bike was missing. No suspect leads at this time.
An adult male patron reported the theft of his Schwinn Ranger bicycle. He locked his bike with a cable on the racks on the first level of the parking structure about 0755 hours. Upon return about 1630 hours, the bike was missing. No suspect leads at this time.
Security officers from Stoneridge Mall notified dispatch of a theft from the Williams-Sonoma store. The male suspect stole a convection oven and fled toward the BART station. The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, about 40 years old, wearing a dark blue jacket and jogging pants. The video recovery CSO brought up station video cameras and saw a man matching the suspect description, carrying a large parcel, board a Daly City train. Trains were held while officers responded. An officer was able to locate the man on board the train and detain him for further investigation. Pleasanton PD took custody of the man for the theft after he was positively identified by store employees. Trains were held approximately 21 minutes as a result of this incident.
Patrons reported a vehicle with a smashed window and clothes spread on the ground outside of the vehicle on the 3rd level of the parking structure. An officer responded and discovered that the left rear window had been broken out of a Buick Le Sabre and items appeared ransacked in and around the vehicle. Unable to determine if anything was missing, the officer processed the vehicle for evidence and left a note for the owner to call upon their return.
A patron reported that the catalytic converter had been stolen off of their Toyota 4 Runner while the SUV was parked on the second level of the parking structure. The theft occurred on 5/30/12 between 0500-1700 hrs.
A man reported that the catalytic converter had been stolen off of his 1997 Toyota 4 Runner while the SUV was parked on the second level of the parking structure (stall #850) today between 0540-1515 hrs.
A patron reported the catalytic converter was taken from his blue 1998 Toyota 4Runner while it was parked and locked on the 5th floor of the parking structure on 4/26/12 between 0740-1730 hours. 1204-3787 L12.
A patron reported the theft of the catalytic converter from her 2005 Toyota Sequoia. The vehicle had been parked on the first level of the structure on 3/21 from 0530-1600 hours. An officer requested video for the parking structure.
A female patron called to report a male yelling at patrons on the train. An officer checked the train and located the male suspect. A records check revealed that the suspect had a stay away order to stay away from all BART stations. The suspect was placed under citizen's arrest by the victim and cited for disturbing others. He was then booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the court order violation.
The mother of a 17 year old juvenile called on 2/28 at 2146 hours to report that her son was missing and suicidal. She said that he told her over the phone that he would harm himself if officers approached him. On 2/29 at 1046 hours the mother called to provide more information regarding her son's whereabouts. She believed that he may travel on BART from Dublin to Daly City. A CSO noticed a male standing on the platform at the West Dublin Station who matched the description given. Officers responded, made contact with the male and determined that he was the son of the reporting party. He was transported by ambulance for psychiatric evaluation.
A patron reported via telephone when she arrived at home that her white 2002 Toyota Tacoma truck had been burglarized while it was parked and locked on the top level of the Pleasanton parking structure on 2/10/12 between 0930-1920 hours. The victim said the driver side door lock had been punched and nothing had been taken from the vehicle. 1202-1462 L12.
Two patrons reported their vehicles having been burglarized while parked at the station. One patron said he parked and locked his brown 1997 Toyota 4Runner on the 4th level of the Dublin parking structure (stall #524) on 2/10/12 between 0700-1730 hours. A shaved key was used to enter the vehicle. Nothing was taken and there was no damage to the vehicle. The second patron said he parked and locked his gray 2001 Toyota 4Runner on the 4th level of the Dublin parking structure (stall #460) on 2/10/12 between 0700-1730 hours. The passenger door lock was broken and a shaved key had been broken off in the driver side door lock. There no loss inside the vehicle. Photos were taken of both vehicles, however, neither parties wished to have their vehicles processed for evidence. 1202-1433 L12.
A male subject called 911 and stated he wanted to kill himself by grabbing onto the electrified third rail. The phone came from the concourse area of the station. The station agent was contacted and told Dispatch the subject went to the platform. An officer was at the station and proceeded to the platform. Trains were held and power to the third rail was turned off. The officer located the subject and detained him without incident. The subject was detained for psychiatric evaluation and transported to the hospital by responding medical personnel. Train power was only off for a minute or two and there was no significant delay in train service.
A man reported that his Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was broken into today, between 0825-1615 hours, while parked in the Pleasanton-side lot, stall #865. The registration card and a garage-door remote control were taken. The owner of a Honda Accord reported that it was burglarized today, between 0525-1805 hours, while parked in the Pleasanton-side lot, stall #833. A stereo was removed from the vehicle. There was no damage to the door locks of either vehicle. A shaved key may have been used to gain entry. 1112-3870 &
An officer responded to a report of a man trying to grab a 16-year-old girl’s hand. Pleasanton police had already detained the man. The officer spoke to the girl and her mother. He determined that the subject’s behavior was suspicious, but not illegal. The man was found to be on probation, for narcotics possession, with a search clause. During a search, the officer found concentrated cannabis on the man. The suspect was arrested for possession of concentrated cannabis and violation of probation. He was debriefed by a sergeant, then booked into Santa Rita Jail.
An Officer responded to the station on a report of a subject in the bathroom for over 30 minutes. The reporting party was the on-duty agent. The Officer pounded on the door with no response and the door was locked from the inside. The officer along with a cover officer forced their way into the bathroom and discovered that a male subject had a belt wrapped around his neck and his body was hanging by the belt that was suspended to the door. Paramedics/Fire personnel responded and declared the subject deceased. The coroners were called. A Detective responded, along with an ID technician. A Lieutenant and Sergeant also responded to the scene. Video was requested. 1112-2685 L22.
A woman reported to an officer that her i-phone had been stolen. The victim stated that a male suspect snatched the i-phone out of her hand while she was using it in the bus zone. The suspect escaped on foot towards the mall. (suspect description: O-M, 20’s, faded red t-shirt, faded blue jeans, facial hair)
