The vehicle’s driver’s door window was smashed to gain entry. A $250.00 (unknown name brand) camera tri-pod and the vehicle’s Fast Trak bridge toll transponder were taken. The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for fingerprints by the investigating officer.
A sergeant detained an adult female who was reportedly yelling and harassing others at the station. During the detention, the sergeant used a minimal amount of force to overcome the female’s resistive behavior(s), and determined she was experiencing mental health issues. An ambulance eventually responded and transported the female to a local hospital for psychiatric attention. A lieutenant responded to perform a use of force investigation. Neither the sergeant nor the female were injured during the incident.
A victim reported that they locked their bicycle (a Cannondale 27 spd bicycle) to the bike racks today at 0830 hours. The bicycle was secured with a U-Lock. The victim returned at 1830 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $600.
Officers responded to intercept a train on a report of a female suspect who poured water on two patrons on the train. Officers located the involved parties. A records check of the suspect revealed an outstanding felony no bail warrant held by SFPD for a supervision release violation. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant. The victims did not wish to pursue a complaint. The suspect was booked into the Martinez Jail on the warrant.
A victim reported the theft of their black Schwinn Suburban bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the rack with a cable lock at midnight and when the victim returned at 0650 hours, the bike and lock were gone.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, who was intoxicated, began harassing the victim and his girlfriend aboard the train. At one point, the suspect attempted to strike the victim. The victim defended himself and engaged in a physical altercation with the suspect. The victim declined to press charges against the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and booked into the Martinez Jail. There were no reported injuries to either of the parties. A sergeant approved the arrest.
A victim reported the theft of their Klein Attitude 21 speed mountain bike from the Walnut Creek Station, between 0700-1800 hours. The bike was secured to the bike racks with a cable lock. Loss was estimated at $400.
A commercial burglary suspect who had stolen two computers on a previous occasion, returned to a business near the Concord Station to take more items. Security officers confronted him in the building and a struggle ensued. He was able to free himself and fled to the Concord BART Station, where he boarded a train. The train was intercepted at the Walnut Creek Station by a sergeant. The suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. Concord PD transported the victim to the station, where the suspect was identified as the responsible person and turned over to Concord PD officers.
A victim reported that their white 2013 Toyota Corolla was burglarized while parked in the 5th level of the station’s parking structure between 1330 hours on 5/23/16 and 0105 hours on 5/24/16. The vehicle’s right rear window was smashed to gain entry and its interior ransacked, but no items were taken. An officer responded to investigate the burglary.

The vehicle’s left rear window was smashed to gain entry and a purple tote bag, containing men’s clothing, was taken. An officer responded to investigate the burglary.
Patrons on board the Pittsburg bound train reported a male acting erratically on board. Officers intercepted the train and located the man. They determined that the man was intoxicated. Record checks showed that the man had an active stay-away order from all BART stations. The female broke away from the sergeant and jumped onto the trackway. Trains were held out as the sergeant struggled to place the female into handcuffs. The female was transported to a local hospital for an emergency psychiatric detention and a lieutenant responded to conduct a use of force investigation.
A sergeant contacted an adult male for creating a disturbance at the station. The male was found to have a $10,000 warrant for battery. No one wished to make a complaint for the disturbance, so the male was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for the warrant.
A victim reported that their silver-colored Acura RDX was burglarized while parked in the second level of the parking structure, stall 897, between 0628 and 1706 hours. The vehicle’s rear windshield was shattered to gain entry and several empty shopping bags were rummaged through. The officers determined the unknown suspect reached into the vehicle, through the smashed windshield, to rummage through the bags and then left without taking any items.
