Officers were on the lookout for a reported runaway juvenile from Pleasant Hill who was reported to be carrying a loaded firearm which had been stolen from his parents home. Officers located the juvenile on board a train at the Walnut Creek station and recovered a loaded firearm that the juvenile had concealed in the waistband of his pants. The juvenile was arrested and booked for possession of a loaded and concealed firearm.
A witness from a nearby business videotaped as a suspect tried multiple door handles and then opened the trunk of a vehicle in the Walnut Creek Station parking lot. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, but was located driving on a nearby street and contacted by officers. He was not in possession of any stolen property, so he was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for tampering with vehicles and driving without a license.
An officer detained an adult male for urinating in public at Walnut Creek station. The suspect had a no bail narcotics warrant and was taken into custody. The arrestee was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. 0812-0392. L21.
An adult male called the Contra Costa County Sheriff's office from the station threatening to kill himself by either stabbing himself or by taking a train to San Francisco where he would jump off of a bridge. The subject was taken into custody without incident and held for psychiatric evaluation at a local hospital.
Members of the Special Problems Unit set up a surveillance at the station in an attempt to apprehend bicycle thieves who have stolen as many as fifteen bicycles from the station over the last month. The effort proved successful when an adult male on probation for narcotics violations was arrested after he cut the lock off of a decoy bicycle the unit had planted at the bike racks and attempted to ride off with it. The suspect was arrested and booked for grand theft, possession of burglar tools and possession of a controlled substance.
An officer observed a male acting suspiciously towards a lone female patron in the parking structure. When the officer contacted him, the male became uncooperative and resistant. The officer was able to take the suspect into custody, although he sustained some injury during the process. The suspect was booked and cleared medically for exposure to the spray. The officer was treated for his injuries.
A male subject was contacted for creating a disturbance with the station agent when he was caught trying to fare evade into the station. He was found to be in possession of $500 worth of liquor he had just stolen from a nearby store. Walnut Creek PD was notified regarding that theft and BPD booked the suspect on stolen goods possession, lying about his identity, and a no-bail felony burglary warrant.
A patron reported seeing a man possibly shooting narcotics into his arm at 19th St. station, and boarding a Pittsburg bound train. Based on the description given to officers, a suspect was detained at Walnut Creek station. The suspect exhibited signs of being under the influence. As one of the officers attempted to pat search the suspect, the suspect reached for his waistband. Another officer grabbed the suspect's hand just as he was reaching for a loaded 9mm handgun. The suspect was taken into custody at which time a syringe with narcotics was also found. The suspect was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. 0805-1115. L21.
Train service was temporarily halted after an anonymous male phoned claiming that he planted a bomb in or about the station. Service was restored after officers conducted a thorough search of the station with negative results.
An adult male reported by email of being robbed of ten dollars in cash the day before about 1645 hours. An officer contacted the victim to learn he was travelling on a Pittsburg bound train with his sister when they were approached by two adult male suspects. The suspects threatened them, and the victim gave the suspects the cash out of fear for his, and his sisters safety. The suspects had been threatening the victim from the time the train left the Berkeley Hills tunnel until finally reaching Walnut Crek Station. Neither the victim or his sister were injured.
A woman was threatened by her ex-boyfriend during a child custody exchange. The suspect threatened to kill the victim and began reaching into his waistband. When the victim's nephews approached, the suspect entered his vehicle and drove away from the station. An investigation is continuing.
A male adult subject was reportedly screaming aboard a train at the Walnut Creek Station. The officer arrived and found the subject to be intoxicated. The subject resisted arrest and had to be subdued. The subject was booked.
A female patron reported that a male adult touched her inner thigh against her will while onboard a train at Walnut Creek Station. The victim identified the suspect to an officer, who arrested him for sexual battery. He was booked into county jail.
A citizen had an iPOD stolen in a strong arm robbery. A witness saw the two suspects, both males in their twenties, toss the iPOD into some bushes, then return later to recover the item. Neither the iPOD nor the suspects could be located.
A 24-year-old man was creating a disturbance aboard a train at Walnut Creek. When an officer sought to off-board the suspect to investigate the matter, the suspect refused to cooperate, assumed a fighting stance, and threatened to punch the officer. The officer used pepper spray on the suspect and took him into custody.
An officer at Walnut Creek Station stepped aboard a Pittsburg bound train, to check the welfare of a male who was reportedly behaving suspiciously. The officer had the subject step off the train and the train departed the station. The subject then ran to the south end of the aerial platform and threatened to jump. Both tracks were powered down for 30 minutes while the officer and a sergeant spoke with the individual, who eventually submitted to their custody. The subject was committed for psychiatric evaluation.
A large male aboard a Pittsburg bound train was rudely bumping into patrons and creating a disturbance. An officer detained the male, who was determined to be in dire need of psychological medication. The male was committed for evaluation.

The suspect resisted the officer's attempt to arrest him and had to be subdued. The suspect was taken into custody and booked for resisting arrest and public intoxication.
