Officers were directed to a male (Peter Richter, 34 years, Walnut Creek) that was causing a disturbance by harassing females at the Walnut Creek Station. Richter was determine to be too intoxicated to care for himself began physically resisting when the officers attempted to place him in handcuffs. Richter was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for public intoxication.
Officers intercepted a train for a male (Dmitriy Andreye, 40 years, transient) reported to be unconscious and holding a loaded syringe in his hand. Andreye was detained and placed under arrest for possession of narcotics. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Witnesses reported that a male and female were involved in a physical fight on the Pittsburg bound train. The train was held at Walnut Creek while officers responded. Officers detained both parties on the concourse, and ultimately determined that the female was the primary aggressor. She was arrested for domestic violence and was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. The train was delayed about 11 minutes.

An officer detained a male for possible possession of stolen property (possession of 3 bicycles) at the Walnut Creek Station. A records check showed the male was on probation with a full search clause. A search revealed the male was in possession of narcotics and was placed under arrest. The bicycles were recovered and held for safe keeping, pending an on-going investigation. The victim provided a description of a potential suspect (white male, mid-to-late 30s; 6’ tall; 220 lbs.; wearing a blue baseball hat, white T-shirt and jeans). An officer took a telephone report from a victim who reported the theft of their vehicle’s catalytic converter. The victim stated he parked his vehicle, a 2005 Honda Element, on the second level of the parking structure on 5/6/2017 at 1400 hours. Upon returning to his vehicle at 1200 hours, he found his catalytic converter to be missing.
A customer used the BART Watch application to report a Hispanic male adult who was harassing customers and challenging them to fight while on board a Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train. The Hispanic male was also reportedly drinking a beer. An officer intercepted the train and contacted the male subject who was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The subject was taken into custody and force was used to seat him into the back seat of the patrol vehicle. The subject was booked into Contra Costa County jail.
Officers responded to the Walnut Creek Station for a report of a male threatening to jump from the second story platform. The station was closed and trains were held. BART PD and outside agency negotiators and mental health personnel responded assist. After a four hour delay, the male cooperated and climbed down off the platform. He was placed on an emergency psychiatric hold. The station was reopened and train service was restored.
A patron reported a female was on the train with her 12 year old son and appeared intoxicated. Officers intercepted the train at Walnut Creek to conduct a welfare check on the female. Officers determined the female was too intoxicated to care for herself and was placed under arrest. The child was released to his father.
