An officer observed two adult females and an adult male loitering in the parking structure. The three suspects entered a Honda Accord and began driving away from the station. The officer ran the license plate and discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen yesterday from the Ashby Station. The officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and detained the three suspects. Luggage and other property in the trunk was determined to have been stolen in an SFPD auto burglary case. The male suspect was also in possession of shaved keys for Japanese model vehicles. The suspects were booked at the San Mateo County Jail.
A station agent watched on camera as a male subject off-boarded a Pittsburg-bound train with a duffle bag. He opened the bag and looked through the contents, then threw the bag onto the trackway, under the lip of the platform. Trains were held outside the station for 15 minutes until responding officers contacted the subject and recovered the bag. It was found to belong to another patron who was unaware of the loss. Suspect was arrested and booked for Interfering with Transit Operations, Misappropriating Found Property, and a $10,000 warrant.
Patrons observed a man drag a woman off a Dublin bound train, forcefully push her onto a bench and hold his hand over her mouth, preventing her from calling for help. An officer arrived, detained the married couple, and observed a fresh scratch on the woman's cheek. The male was arrested and booked. The woman was provided a courtesy transport to her father's Oakland residence.
An adult female victim reported to officers at South San Francisco station that an adult male suspect reached under her skirt and touched her private area. The woman described the suspect and said the battery just occurred while on board a Millbrae bound train. Officers located a suspect several blocks from the station. The victim identified the suspect who was taken into custody and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. 0709-3836. L21.
BPD received information that 16 year old female runaway, was possibly enroute from Hayward Station to South San Francisco Station. An officer detained the juvenile, who was accompanied by a 19 year old male. The male was in violation of a Court Order prohibiting him from being with the juvenile, and the juvenile had an outstanding no-bail warrant. The male was arrested and booked. The female was taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall.
BART PD officers assisted SFPD in a search for an adult male, 24 yrs. of age, who allegedly beat another subject with a handgun, then reportedly fired a shot at the victim, missing him. BART officers became involved when the victim ran into Powell St. station and reported the incident which occurred at 5th and Market Streets. SFPD suspects that the incident stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.
Officers were flagged down at 5th and Folsom Streets in San Francisco by citizens who had interrupted an auto burglary in progress. The officers apprehended the male suspect after a brief struggle, and the case was turned over to San Francisco PD. 0701-0562. S32.
A juvenile male victim had just left Balboa Park station when he was confronted by a group of juvenile suspects. One female suspect punched the victim in the face and took his I-Pod. A BART officer in the vicinity detained the main suspect and recovered the I-Pod. The suspect was booked at the Youth Guidance Center in San Francisco. 0607-0455 L21.
