A man was held for psychiatric evaluation after he was reported to be causing a disturbance and intimidating patrons by yelling and cursing at them.
A male victim was dropping off his children to his ex-wife at the South Hayward station, when the ex-wife's boyfriend brandished a handgun at the victim. The suspect left the scene. As officers were taking the report, the suspect returned and was arrested and booked at the Hayward City Jail. 0606-2374 L21.
05-25-06 1548 hrs. A 29-year-old man, who had reportedly been casing in the station parking lot, was found to be in possession of burglary tools and stolen property. Subsequent investigation linked him to an auto burglary in the lot. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail for auto burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property.
A juvenile female was walking through the parking lot at South Hayward station when she was grabbed on her private area by an unknown male adult, approximately 30 years old. The suspect fled toward Tennyson Ave. The victim made the report at her school office. An area search proved negative.
At 1157 hours, there was an electrical fire at the South Hayward BART Station. The station was evacuated and closed for about 2 hours. Service was restored at 1418 hours. No injuries reported. L17
With the assistance of Hayward PD, two suspects were detained at South Hayward station for a man with a gun. A gun was found in a carry-on bag belonging to one of the suspects. The reporting party positively ID'd one of the suspects as having the gun. Hayward PD took the case as they had to physically fight one of the suspects. One suspect also had a no-bail warrant.
