A BART Officer contacted an adult female victim who reported her 2004 black Tahoe (4ULD823) was burglarized at the South Hayward Station. The victim said she parked her vehicle about 0800 hours, and when she returned about 1700 hours, the right front side window was smashed. The suspect took an I-Phone charger. (1207-1223). L21.
An officer on patrol spotted a blue 1991 Chevy Geo, 4dr, parked in the North lot with the rear passenger window smashed. The interior of the car appeared to have been ransacked. It is unknown if there is any loss. The vehicle was processed for evidence and a note left for the owner.
Three burglarized vehicles were discovered in the south lot of the station with smashed windows. Veh #1: gld 1998 Chevy Prizm, veh #2: blu 1993 Mercury and veh #3: Jeep Liberty SUV. One of the victims stated he parked his car in the lot at 1730 hours on 6/24/12 and upon his return at 0530 hours today, he discovered the burglary to his vehicle. His loss was $2 in loose change. All of the vehicles were processed for evidence. A note was left for the other vehicle owners.
An officer took a telephone report from a man who reported that his 2012 Kia Sportage had been burglarized in the center lot between 2030-2400 hrs. on 06/23/12. The vehicle has a keyless lock and the burglar’s means of entry is unknown. Miscellaneous property was taken. The victim did not wish to return to the station to have his vehicle processed.
A BART Officer was dispatched to a report of a battery on a station agent at South Hayward Station. The agent reported being pushed after he confronted a man and woman for fare evasion. The male suspect pushed the agent and the agent fell to the ground. Suspect was described as approximately 20 y.o., 5’7”, 160, black male, wearing a brown shirt. The suspect and companion fled the area and were not located. The agent was uninjured.
A patron reported her purse was taken from her lap while she was asleep for five minutes on a Fremont bound train near the South Hayward Station. The purse contained the victim's credit cards but no cash. The victim woke up to see a male near her exit the train, but cannot positively identify him.
A train was held at the station for 14 minutes after the train operator reported that a man was possibly keeping a woman from exiting the train. The man and woman off-boarded the train after the train operator spoke to them. Officers arrived and spoke to the couple, who said that they had only had a verbal argument.

A victim reported her iPad was taken from her person while she was on a Richmond bound train approaching the station. The suspect was accompanied by a friend and they both fled from the station. Officers arrived at the scene and searched for the suspects with negative results. 1204-3648 L12.
While on a train at the South Hayward Station the victim had her iPhone grabbed from her hand by a black male. He came up from behind her, grabbed the iPhone and ran from the train. The victim reported the crime at the Fremont Station 10 minutes later.
A woman reported that her 1991 2-DR Honda Prelude was burglarized yesterday, 04/06/12, between 0630-1700 hrs., in the north parking lot. Entry was made by unknown means. The loss was a garage-door opener. The investigating officer took photographs of the vehicle. The vehicle was not processed for latent prints because the vehicle owner said that she had intentionally wiped down all of the surfaces that she believed the suspect would have touched.
A patron called to report that his tan 1988 Toyota Corolla was burglarized while parked in the lot between 0700-1200 hours. The driver's window was smashed to gain entry and a power drill battery was taken. The victim declined to have the vehicle processed for prints, but photos were taken. Once the officer completed the investigation, he located two more burglarized vehicles in the lot (a Mini Cooper and a Toyota Corolla). Those vehicles were processed for prints and photographed and notes left for their owners.
A BART Officer contacted a victim of an attempt auto theft at South Hayward Station. The victim was returning to her parked 1988 Honda in the Dixon Street Lot, when she saw a suspect sitting in her vehicle’s driver’s seat. The suspect had a key in the ignition. The suspect was described as: (BMA, 20-25 years, 6’00” medium build, wearing a green striped shirt and red baseball cap). The suspect told the victim that he was not trying to take her car and mentioned that his key works on her vehicle. After retrieving his items from the victim’s vehicle and trunk, the suspect entered another nearby vehicle and drove away. The second vehicle was described as a late model Honda with a partial plate of _ROB993. Detectives were notified and are following known leads. Prints were not recovered. There were no signs of forced entry or loss from the victim vehicle.
